This crisp ale is a twist on the Belgian classic, the wit. The major difference being a change from wheat and oats to rice, and also switching from coriander and bitter orange peal to ginger and chamomile. This is an excellent beer for pre-dinner snacks to fish based dishes and salads. Ideal for a sunny afternoon or when you want to imagine its sunny outside.

Tap at the brewery. Really impressed by this place. High marks for sure. Snifter 12 oz pour. Super cloudy and golden in color. Keeps its head well. Aroma is muted but Belgian yeast and mild citrus. Taste is in the vein of a true farmhouse saison. Some banana, some citrus, spices, and slight bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel. Slightly short of the quality wheat farmhouse effort but still very enjoyable. Highly recommend stopping here if in Seattle.

Cloudy orange pour. Spicy aroma of fresh unpeeled ginger (earthy). Floral chamomile. Tastes woody ginger, lemons, hearty grain, herbal chamomile. Fine drinking.

Draft at the gastropod. Light orange pour. Corned beef aroma (seriously). Very tea like brew with some orange peel and spice. This might be the most unique beer i have ever had. Glad I got it. Not bad.

Bottled: earlier. Batch 1 ABV %6 Pours a nice copper ale with little carbonation character. Smells strait ginger with lots of yeast and the chamomile sweetens it a bit. There’s a PixieStik character. I think I like the smell. Tastes of soap and ginger and lemongrass and limes, and lots sour. The ladies around me are starting to dislike it, not me. This is really tasty. Thin with hi carb and a nice puckering finish. I like this beer. They think there is a metallic character, but I’m not catching that. Serving type: bottle 11-11-2012

From bottle. Light cloudy golden color. Aroma is dominated by chamomile tea. Taste is orange zest, herbal tea, and peppery spice. Spice is a little too much, but nice overall.

Bomber. Very lively light gold pour no matter how gently you tilt the bottle. Lots of white head. Nose is interesting. Lots of floral and herbal notes including mint/menthol. Almost like a homeopathic cough medicine. Taste is not much different. Carb level is off the chart which doesn't help. Very dry finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle pour. Golden, 1 finger straw head. Aroma dominated by porta-potty. Flavor is somewhat tart, but there is something in the finish that makes me gag. I can’t take this. Palate is over carbonated.

Bomber. Pours a hazy yellowish golden color with off-white foam and active carbonation. Ginger and chamomile dominate the aroma along with a bit of citrus rind. The taste starts out aggressively tart and acidic with lots of lemon, ginger and chamomile flavors as well as some yeast and grassy hops notes. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied with moderate carbonation and a dry, tart finish. This would be my beer of choice to chase off a cold.

On tap at Brouwer’s. Ruby orange with a finger head. Smell cinnamon, spice, pumpkin, cream. Taste acidic, earthy, pepper and wheat. Interesting. Probably my favorite one that I’ve tried from these guys.

Draught @ Collins Pub, Seattle.
Pours hazy amber-golden color with small head. Aroma of rhubarb, rose hip, belgian yeast, spices and citrus fruits. Flavour of spices, rose hip, rhubarb, lemon and goose berries. Quite interesting sour palate with un-traditional wit flavors. Unique.
