Great black ipa really enjoyed. Poors a nice black with thin just off head the laces nicely. Aroma of slight chocolate roast, citrus slight pine and grapefruit. Little thin on the body but brilliant dry bitterness. Very nice.

Bottle. Pours a black colour with a slight beige head, aroma is all fruit and hops, the taste is bitter with some roast in the mouth, with a dry bitter finish.

Tap at Mane Liquor. Been excited about this for a while now. Pours dark brown with ruby edges and very sticky khaki head. Nose is massive on citrus and pine - loaded with orange, tangerine and lemon. More orange forward than anything though. Taste is very citric and zesty with moderate pine needles and an aggressive, astringent bitterness which tingles. Nice! My kind of BIPA. Very raw and hoppy

Tap at Mane Liquor. Pours black with a creamy, dark khaki head. Aroma is super hoppy, lots of pine. Shitloads. Citrus fruits, roasted malts, a bit of ash. Taste is killer - loads of piney bitterness laced with a light citric sweetness. Dry, ashy character rounds off the beer well. Fucking good BIPA.

Lovely sexy dark super hopped beer. Chocolate and dark fruit and big wet, lupulin melding in a 50/50 mix on the luxurious ending. A tiny bit more heft in the body for mine would put this in world class territory. Still it’s up and around there.

Dark brown head that is not too tight. Pitch black color. Nose smacks you with tobacco, molassess, dark chocolate and moderate hoppiness. Big dark roasted mouth with tons of hops - cotton candy and apples. Really well balanced, moderately bitter. Big bad finish. Yum. This is a fantastic Black IPA that is highly quaffable. Definitely a top notch beer.

<bottle> deep dark pour that is ruby red int he light. Bags and bags of hops, bags of them, but this does not finish overly dry and is all quaffable. The dark colour leads you on and draws you in to something, but this is an IPA all out, none of that fruits and sweets nonsense, just a banging good beer. Epic bitterness, lovely balance, may might do with some more body to make this the leader of the world in it’s class. Can I have another please.

Amazing initial aroma, so fruity! Great dry finish, malty and strong, a little smokey. Excellent winter beer. Cheers.

UPDATED: AUG 1, 2014 Was hoping this would be close to their "Repocalypse" (one of my all time favourite beers) - but it was not to be. Still an enjoyable brew - but somewhat lacking the usual Epic hop forward balance. Bottle version is stronger and a better all round beer.
