COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Inspired by west Coast IPA’s on a trip to San Diego for the World Beer Cup and a part of an IPA showdown with Hallertau Brewery . Only 1000 litres of this insane hop joy have been created. The rumour has started that Epic Armageddon IPA is "the sole reason there is a global hop shortage".

Keg at Six Des Abz. It pours clear amber with a small white head. The nose is pine needles, orange peel, grapefruit, dough and orange sponge cake. The taste is bitter, piney, varnish, resin, light alcohol, varnish, citrus peel and metallic twang with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Decent IPA.

500ml bottle from drinkstore. Pours cloudy amber with white foam head. Lemon, orange, peach, cabbage, dish water aroma. Strong caramel malt base with with mango and sharp bitter finish. Smooth mouthfeel, nearly the syrupy feel but not quite. Strong carbonation, a little too much. A solid IPA.

Quite fresh aromatics with apricots, iron and mango. Some flowers and citrus hints in the background. Decently flavourful and round in the mouth. The finish starts out freshly fruity and slightly sweet but transforms into a dry and dusty bitterness which is still rather restrained.

330ml bottle from Systembolaget Storheden. Deep dark golden body colour. Fair, off-white head. Spotty lacing. Aromas of dried fruits, wood, and caramel malts. Malt-fruity taste, grapefruit mixed with toffee and butter. Bittersweet ending. Fine bodied and smooth on the swallow. Likable (shared with djoeye, hotel room, Luleå 25.05.2014).

Pours a clear golden beer with an off white head, many lacings. Aroma; smooth toffee malts, cheese, dried fruits, salty buttery notes, hints from paint. Taste; buttery hops, toffee malts, dry plum peels. Okay body. Finishes with caramel malts, wood, lingering and nice. Caramel golden. Aroma is hops. Taste is lovely - bitterness and pine from the hops mixed with a caramel malt sweetness. Bitter finish. Lovely union of the hops and the malt. Good IPA.

beer-yum (448) - Wellington, NEW ZEALAND - MAY 25, 2014
Delicious Kiwi IPA that sets the benchmark for local brews of the style. Initial limited release was rightfully orders of magnitude oversubscribed and it has now become a year-round brew (much to the relief of beer lovers everywhere).
