Inspired by west Coast IPA’s on a trip to San Diego for the World Beer Cup and a part of an IPA showdown with Hallertau Brewery . Only 1000 litres of this insane hop joy have been created. The rumour has started that Epic Armageddon IPA is "the sole reason there is a global hop shortage".

Havuisemman puoleinen IPA.

Easy pour shows a faded flat orange and a big billowing head. Great delicious South Pacific hop nose. Beautifully juicy and supple in the mouth with huge core strength which pushes out nicely from the centre and keeps everything very well structured throughout the entire glass. Balanced and deep. Well named.

Pours orange. Nice, fruity and semi earthy hop aroma. Spicy tropical fruit all over the palate, and a nice dry finish. Enjoyable.

Pale gold with fair white head that soon collapses. Aromas predominantly hops but also stone fruit and some fruit blossom. Taste quite sharp sourness tempered by some sweetness. Dying carbonation. Fairly thick mouthfeel. Much better than I expected.

Scopey (7406) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 21, 2014
Keg at Six Des Abz. It pours clear amber with a small white head. The nose is pine needles, orange peel, grapefruit, dough and orange sponge cake. The taste is bitter, piney, varnish, resin, light alcohol, varnish, citrus peel and metallic twang with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Decent IPA.

500ml bottle from drinkstore. Pours cloudy amber with white foam head. Lemon, orange, peach, cabbage, dish water aroma. Strong caramel malt base with with mango and sharp bitter finish. Smooth mouthfeel, nearly the syrupy feel but not quite. Strong carbonation, a little too much. A solid IPA.

Quite fresh aromatics with apricots, iron and mango. Some flowers and citrus hints in the background. Decently flavourful and round in the mouth. The finish starts out freshly fruity and slightly sweet but transforms into a dry and dusty bitterness which is still rather restrained.

330ml bottle from Systembolaget Storheden. Deep dark golden body colour. Fair, off-white head. Spotty lacing. Aromas of dried fruits, wood, and caramel malts. Malt-fruity taste, grapefruit mixed with toffee and butter. Bittersweet ending. Fine bodied and smooth on the swallow. Likable (shared with djoeye, hotel room, Luleå 25.05.2014).

Bottle at home. Pours golden, sticky toffee, dry, bitter, some juicy hops, bitterness mostly obliterates anything else.
