COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Inspired by west Coast IPA’s on a trip to San Diego for the World Beer Cup and a part of an IPA showdown with Hallertau Brewery . Only 1000 litres of this insane hop joy have been created. The rumour has started that Epic Armageddon IPA is "the sole reason there is a global hop shortage".

A - Pours a clear golden-orange color with a finger of frothy white head. The head fades down at a normal pace leaving behind some nice lacing. S - Aroma is a mix of grapefruit, pineapple, mango, floral, and spicy hops with some caramel and lightly bready malts. T - Starts off with a mix of pineapple, mango, grapefruit, and citrus hops with some bitterness and some sweet caramel malts. Through the middle, some floral and spicy hops come through with some more bitterness and some biscuity malt. The finish is a mix of grapefruit and tropical hops, spicy hops, bitterness, and some sweet bready malts. M - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with a dry, spicy, and bitter finish. D - Very drinkable. Great hop profile with good bitterness and great overall balance.

500ml bottle. Pours gold with a touch of amber, and medium white head. On the nose its super hoppy with citrus notes. Tastes spicy citrus hops, big beautiful beer, one of new zealand’s best

A-- Poured a light gold brown with small carbonation bubbles. Very clear appearance. Poured a huge two finger off white head that settled down to just under one finger. Very good head retention and layered lacing in the glass. S-- Very aggressive grapefruit smell, followed by pine and a bit of carmel smell. One of the best smelling IPA’s I have had since moving to Australia. T-- Big pine, grapefruit, orange, tart grapefruit and lemon taste, with just a bit of sweetness to this. M-- Very tart and a lot of pine menthol feel to this. Just a bit of sweetness to this. Not really oily but more fruit driven. Medium to high carbonation and a good lemon pucker at the end of this. D-- Maybe the best IPA in the Southern Hemisphere.

Honey aroma with some hops. Smooth velvety texture. Shame about the metallic taste. Not too bitter.

Pours a light, cloudy gold with small fluffy head. Aroma is pine and tropical fruit, probably some Nelsons. Much lighter body than I’d normally expect, but not unpleasantly so. Bitterness is clean and strong and dry on the finish.

VIrtually no aroma, maybe a bit of floral) and a hop assault on your tastebuds from beginning to end. Citrus grapefruit primarily, but with little bit of lemon zest and a bread and yeast background.

2012 Portland International Beerfest. Hoppy with a lot of citrus. Mild bitterness throughout. Finish is big grapefruit flavor.

UPDATED: SEP 6, 2012 This was amazing. Australasia’s nonpareil IPA, it is fantastic. Beautiful nose, magnificent taste, lots of hops and a perfect finish. Doesn’t have that lingering bitterness that other IPA’s have. This is my favourite beer at present, would be perfect in summer.

Another great NZ beer, over hopped, but bitterness is still within the good limits for me. Not quite as fruity as others, but a great depth to the citrus & leafy notes

This brew pours a clear orange-gold color with a medium foamy white head that diminishes steadily. Rings of lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of hops and fruit, plus some sweet malt. Medium body and moderately bitter with flavors of grassy hops, citrus and malt. The finish is hoppy with a lingering grapefruit aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
