Inspired by west Coast IPA’s on a trip to San Diego for the World Beer Cup and a part of an IPA showdown with Hallertau Brewery . Only 1000 litres of this insane hop joy have been created. The rumour has started that Epic Armageddon IPA is "the sole reason there is a global hop shortage".

Det här är en trevlig och välhumlad sak med mycket beska, nästan lite för mycket beska. Men i stort var det en behaglig upplevelse.

Yellow. Average head. Fresh smell. Overwhelmingly hoppy. Epic are to be admired for their guts, but have to know that a beer doesn’t get better and better the more hops you add. They know better than this.

Pours a clear gold with thick white head. Aroma of bittering hops.... piney, resin, and a bit of citrus too. Flavor is very well balanced. Malty up front with a nice floral middle and slightly bitter finish that doens’t leave a bad taste. Bravo.

Pours pale golden with a nice frothy white head. Smell: grapefruit, lemons, nice caramel notes, some tea, pine and honey. Very bright hop profile, grapefruit, pine, lemonhead candy, honey and other citrus notes. Medium-thick on the palate with a good pine resin finish.

Hard yellow pour with a creamy white head and lace. Aroma is resiny hops and bready malt. Sweet bready maltiness and a decent resiny bitter finish. Just a tad light on maltiness but still a pretty tasty beer. A bit fizzy carbonation for my taste. I could drink a few.

Pours a clear golden hue with an amazing sweet citrus aroma.. wow love it. Has a sweet hop resin/citrus flavour upfront with a medium bitterness to finish. This is like a epic pale with more hop and i am a big fan.

At a tasting, thanks Ariel, pours orange to yellow with a medium head and a lively carbonation, aroma of peach, pineapple, malt, mango, pine and grass freshness, flavor is dry and bitter with some mint and grapefruit skin, quite refreshing, medium bodied

Pine and slightly effervescent yeast in aroma. The flavor is mildly earthy along with bitingly bitter hops and a decent, bread/cracker-like maltiness. Nothing really out of the ordinary except for the slight earthiness, just a very good IPA that was well-made.

500ml bottle. It is like you are walking through a pine forest when you pour this into the glass, hops, hops and more hops, what more copuld you ask for. The fluffy white head hangs around for a while and sits atop the honey coloured beer. The flavour is intenmse and packed full of piney hops. On the palate it is full with the aftertaste going on and on. I think it would almost be a bit sickly if you had more than one bottle in a sitting. Epic in every way, this is smooth in the mouth with a velvet creamy feeling that penetrates all parts of the mouth. Another great beer from across the ditch.
