Inspired by west Coast IPA’s on a trip to San Diego for the World Beer Cup and a part of an IPA showdown with Hallertau Brewery . Only 1000 litres of this insane hop joy have been created. The rumour has started that Epic Armageddon IPA is "the sole reason there is a global hop shortage".

330 ml bottle from Systembolaget Passagen, Stockholm.
Clear, amber body, with a medium, creamy, white head.
Smooth, floral aroma of citrus, lychee, tropical fruits, peach, some berries, biscuit.
Taste follows this, with more bitterness and adds some more pine, a bit grass and more smooth malts.
Medium, quite creamy mouthfeel, with a soft carbonation.
Finishes bitter, quite dry, zesty, a bit sweet malty.

Tasty! Smooth, quaffable and easy to drink. The balance between floral hops and smooth malts is really good! Overall a lovely IPA, with a more balanced character and less hop bite than others.

Draught. Clear amber, thin creamy head. Tight citrusy hops, floral notes. Fesh and sharp. Malty flavor is more grainy/dryish biscuity than caramelly, but it has some creaminess underneath. Hops do shine. Quite strong and soft, ripe fruity hop flavor. Clean bitterness, grapefruity bite, ripe berries afterwards. Balance is amazing. Medium Somewhat like mixing Sculpin IPA and Thornbridge’s Halcyon? Very good.

UPDATED: FEB 26, 2015 Pours golden with a medium lasting head. Lots of citrus on the nose and taste is quite similar with subtle hints of oak. It has quite a silky mouthful with a medium, lingering bitter finish that's not too overpowering. The perfect IPA in my opinion.

Bottle from Coppers, Newcastle. Sparkling golden coloured with rich toffee, orange marmalade and citrus fruit flavours, malty and grassy notes followed by creamy vanilla, oak and pine on the finish. Really excellent!

500 ml bottle. Wee gusher, chill hazed orange amber, off-white foam settles quickly and mostly lasts. Aroma of tropical fruity hop and caramel malt. Piney tropical fruity hop taste, darker caramel, toasted pale malts, some grapefruit and floralness, surprisingly lean and easy. Average carbonation, medium bodied, well hopped. NFL (Not For Lagerboys)

22oz bottle - This was a pretty nice IPA, and I was suprised to see it was made in NZ. I originally thought this was something done by Mammoth Brewing Co. The aroma supports a really nice citrus hop array, which seems to help the hops get remolded into something peachy and quite fruity. I didn’t get a lot of the usual caramel malt profile when CaraMalt is used. On the palate there’s really a nice showing of citrusy/piney hops, light pineapple and more peaches. Fruity, hoppy, nice sweetness here. Could have used a little more oomph in the mouthfeel though.
