Inspired by west Coast IPAís on a trip to San Diego for the World Beer Cup and a part of an IPA showdown with Hallertau Brewery . Only 1000 litres of this insane hop joy have been created. The rumour has started that Epic Armageddon IPA is "the sole reason there is a global hop shortage".

Bottle from Systembolaget, Uppsala. A clear golden color and a white head. Aroma is grassy and fruity. It has a notable hop profile that results in some interesting floral and exotic fruity notes. Taste is quite bitter but not brutally. Aromatic tropical fruitiness and the normal citrus flavour feature most. Medium body, slightly sticky texture. Bitter and very fruity IPA, a class act from New Zealand.

Bottle. Itís a clear, golden beer topped by a small, dense, off-white to light beige head. The aroma has pine cones, grapefruit, orange zest, some caramel maltyness and a little touch of alcohol. Itís full-bodied and with a pleasant carbonation level. A nice bitterness in the flavor, both initally and in the end. Pine cones, resins and orange zest. Lasting bitter finish. A pretty nice IPA, but I should probably have had it fresh. 140420

Solid, if unexceptional. All the right notes are there. But thereís nothing unique here that you havenít had in a solid IPA elsewhere.

Lovely golden color with a white head. Lots of grapefruit, orange(bitter) and tropical fruits on the nose. The taste is of pine, citrus, malt sweetness and fruit cake. Great beer!

Aroma is pretty typical, I got a blast of hops but nowhere nearly the amount of tropical/citrus the bottle proclaimed. Taste was the same. Good but nothing special and felt it needed more citrus.

Bottle brought back from Australia by my mom. Pours a dark orange with a half finger of white head. Aroma is loads of citrus. Taste is light bitter. Citrus and pine. Light bodied with a slick texture. Lively carbonation and a super long finish. Overall, great. Non-dated but Iím assuming not super fresh. Great beer regardless.

Clear orange-to-golden beer with slightly small head but decent lacing. Aroma has tropical fruits, grapes, lemon and some kiwi too. Taste is really fresh, there is tropical fruits, kiwi, lemon and grapefruit and decent bitterness. Body is full and medium-to-high carbonation. Fresh and fruity IPA.

Clear copper beer with a huge white foam. Very nice fruity and fresh aroma, mango. Medium body. A unique and complex flavor of bitterness and sweetness. Dry and sweet at the same time. This is truly a great beer. Pure excellence and a great refreshing change to the genre.

330 ml bottle @ Kultainen Apina, Tampere. Pours an amber colour with a white head. Aroma of tangy grapefruit, green tea and caramel sweetness. Rich flavour of juicy exotic fruitiness, grapefruity bitterness, heavy caramel maltiness and resin. Medium bodied, rich mouthfeel and soft carbonation. Rich and enjoyable.
