This has to be my absolute favourite beer. I can not fault it. Each time I have it there will be something else i discover and enjoy. Perfection.
4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 Koyo (249) - SWEDEN - FEB 18, 2011
Bottle from Systembolaget. The beer has a rich aroma that contains grass and pine from the hops with a little toffee from the malt. It pours a clear golden with a thick white foam that goes away quite quickly. Taste is rich and very, very pleasant. There is bitterness and sweetness in a very pleasant combination. The mouthfeel is also very pleasant, I’d recommend drinking this quite cold, it lost a bit of its complexity as it warmed up. But overall this is undoubtedly one of the best beers I have ever tried.
4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 davidm (1363) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - JUN 13, 2010
Bottle 500ml. Exceptional IPA. Aromas of caramel, and grass. Taste starts sweet, with bitterness taking over for a very long finish. Palate is velvety, and medium bodied. Orange, with a creamy white head.
4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 kempicus (355) - Bakewell, Derbyshire, ENGLAND - AUG 5, 2008
UPDATED: DEC 16, 2008 I’ve gotta say that this is by far and away the best IPA i’ve ever tasted, could possibly do with some more bitterness but i guess one has to make do with what one can get....massive citrus grapefruit aroma from the dry hops, i was a little dissapointed to not find hops floating in my glass so i marked it down on appearance! All in all a massively hoppy bitter brew that is a joy to drink!

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 beer4eternity (199) - Tauranga, NEW ZEALAND - MAY 2, 2010
UPDATED: MAY 11, 2012 500ml bottle. Unclear orange hue, nice thick foamy off white head, good streaky lacing. Massive hit of astonishing hop aromas - lychee, grapefruit, lemon, pineapple, gold kiwifruit, some stone fruit, lots of pine, resin, yummmm. Mildly sweet, moderate to strong bitterness, faint sourness. Tastes delicious with all those hop elements coming through with a hint of caramel but this beer is all about the hops. Medium body, crisp, long mostly dry bitter finish. This is an epic beer (excuse the pun) and despite its Armageddon name it brought a slice of heaven on earth to my day. Thank God for hops.

I’m at a bar and will write a detailed review later. Very good IPA. Try it if you can find it.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 19/20 Maris (545) - Canberra, AUSTRALIA - JUL 9, 2011
From a 500ml bottle on 10/7/2011. Pours a clear golden honey colour with a smallish fine head. Has a wonderful, powerful floral, fruit and pine hop aroma. Similarly bursts with flavour, with a big caramel/toffee malt backbone, honey, sweet citrus fruits (particularly mandarin) and heaps of grapefruit. A real hop monster and an exceptional, complex IPA. Damn those kiwis are brewing some good gear.
4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 otakuden (1558) - Vero Beach, USA - FEB 4, 2011
Appearance: beautiful golds and straw. Pithy off-white head is voluminous, airy, and whipped. Huge head lingers long though with no lace.
Nose: pine needles, orange peel and zest. Orange pie, marmalade – moist, juicy, and chunky. Orange is first while pine takes second stage with fir trees Christmas trees, and prickly sticky pine needles. Burlap sacks and blankets underneath.
Palate: clean with little to no attenuation of residual sugars – crisp. Sweet breads are infused with orange zest and sweet chunky orange marmalade. Orange, honeycomb, and Christmas trees. Gentle subtle pervasive sweetness balanced by orange zest and piney forestry delights. Rather clean finish lightly dries and brings you back for more. Epic balance of flavors. Pine and fir needles are a solid bed upon which to stand.
Final Thoughts: wow and wow. I’ve heard good things about Epic Brewing in New Zealand and they definitely live up to their reputation. Muchos thanks to the sis and the momster for grabbing me this gem.
