4.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 20/20
I opened this bottle and the first thing i do, as I so with all beer I check the aroma. While not an amazing aroma, the beer itself is amazing! One of the smoothest Stoutís I have ever had. Initial taste is of Vanilla, then Smoke, Chocolate and Coffee. Minimal head with only some lacing on the sides. While not inexpensive I was very pleasantly surprised. Stouts typically are so brash, with the exception of Black Pumpkin, they assault my pallet at times. Thanks to Wendy at Joe Canals in Egg Harbor Township, my Guru, I purchased this bomber and I am thoroughly enjoying it. Do not miss this bottle of beer! Thanks Wendy. 3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft. Black and thick with brown foam on top. Huge aroma, bourbon, oak, chocolate, overripe dark fruits, coffee. Flavor is similarly big and bold. Medium sweet, good bourbon character, complex. Full and intense on the feel yet very smooth. Really a solid impy stout I must say.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Release #12 at 10.8%. Bomber purchased in Sept 2013 at Beverages 4 Less ($12.99), now enjoying more than two years later after cellaring. Pours black with a half finger of creamy and quite dark brown/mocha foam. AROMA of very earthy and dark (almost burnt) coffee, smoky dark roasted malts, dark artisanal chocolate, mild whiskey notes, with a bit of vegetal / chile spice on the end. FLAVOR has much of the same as the nose with a strong espresso element right off the bat, slightly burnt dark roasted malts, significant cocoa, and a little bit of boozy whiskey tang / sourness toward the finish. Really smooth with an exceptionally soft mouthfeel, though it finishes a little boozy. Not sure how much the aging may have helped in the quality here, but this is an exception impy. (604, 990)

4.4 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
2015 bomber poured into snifter. Pours black as night with a thin white heat that dissipates into a soapy collar. Thin, webby lacing follows the liquid down the glass. A delicate nose of coffee, chocolate and bourbon prelude a huge palate of rich bourbon, fresh coffee, chocolate, molasses, oak and dark fruit. Slick, medium mouthfeel and light carbonation. The finish is medium and dominated by coffee. Almost no char taste typical in an imp stout. A very good, very big beer that comes out of the bottle kicking ass and taking names.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: JAN 2, 2016 Release #56 11.9% strong coffee start. Very boozy. Has some bourbon notes. Smooth finish with bitter aftertaste. Some chocolate notes too. Worth the price. Second bottle makes me lower the scores. This time it was very strong coffee with very bitter aftertaste and barely no whiskey notes.
