Intense aroma of licorice, toffee, caramel, vanilla, espresso and bourbon. Taste is very deep rich malts , very viscous and almost chewy. Full body flavors of raisin s, chocolate, espresso and toffee. Light faint tart bitterness to round it out. The high abv is hardly overpowering and surprisingly smooth. Appearance is black with a medium beige head that retains quite well. Fantastic beer.

Bottle. Pours black with brown head and nice lacing. Nose is some coffee, chocolate and cigar ash. Taste add some fudge and vanilla. Delicious.

Bottle from Bacco. Release #61. Pours black with a thin brown head, light lacing. Dark chocolate aroma, some burned coffee. Raisin and bourbon notes, also a woody chocolate? I don’t know what wood tastes like but I imagine it is something like this. A long bitter coffee bite through the finish. Overall very nice.

Ça fraie son chemin en moi sans obstacle... Un stout vanillé, caféiné, bien rond et sans grand défaut! On pourrait demander un peu plus de présence d’alcool fort, mais ce serait vraiment pour faire la fine bouche. Et ce liquide tire à 12.7% ABV? Jamais de la vie! Trop bien intégré cet alcool. Excellente bière.

Review from memory - shared at a tasting about a year ago. Pitch black pour with a fluffy tan head. Smells of roasted malts, coffee and dark chocolate. The notes are reflected in the taste, as well - not much barrel going on here, but a top notch stout nonetheless.

tap - Pours black and smells of dark roast malt, chocolate, and especially coffee. Mmm... coffee. It has a big, rich flavor of that same roasted malt, coffee, and chocolate. Sweet and full bodied, it’s an excellent beer.

Black color pour with brown head. Aroma is complex with booze, vanilla, chocolate, and coffee. Solid. Flavor follows with creamy chocolate, booze, and notes of vanilla. Coffee not as prominent. Has a slight burn in the finish. Palate is medium body, creamy with a bit more carbonation than I wanted. Glad i tried it but even more happy i only got 1.

On tap at the Festival of the Dark Arts - Release #62, A heavy stout with a freshly brewed coffee nose. It’s got one hell of a burn to it. Big, brazen stuff.
