Release #10. Poured into a snifter out of a 22oz bomber. Pours inky black with just a small dark tan head that fades to a ring around the side of the glass. Pretty decent lacing considering the abv. Coffee is quite prominent in the aroma with hints of dark chocolate. Lots of roasted malt that seems slightly burnt. There is vanilla and just the slightest hint of whiskey buried way in the background. The coffee carries big time into the flavor mixed nicely with cocoa creating almost a mocha character. Lots and lots of heavily roasted malt that borders on being a bit acrid and charred. There is still just a little bourbon in the background that I wish was a little more prominent. Nice vanilla and caramel touches too. The alcohol is well hidden with just a slight warmth in the back of the throat with a creamy and just slightly sticky mouthfeel. Overall, a very tasty imperial stout but one that is not quite Earth-shattering. I donít know if I would go out of my way to pick this up but if you do come across it, it is worth drinking.

Release #22. Very spicy aromatics, lots of well roasted coffee and other roasty goodness. Flavor is likewise dominated by spicy coffee with a touch of sweet syrups. Righteous stuff brother, amen.

Aroma is Coffee and dark grains. There is a very faint smell of bourbon . Appearance is jet black. Wow! This beer is amazing, smooth as silk. The coffee taste is there but not overdone and not bitter. The cocoa nibs are detectable and are the icing on the cake. Delicious!

Poured from bomber. Only lacking quality is palate, not as full as some of the classic BA RIS beers out there. But try finding one of those for $6.50. Overall great beer at surprisingly good price

On tap at hop cat. Very intense coffee aroma. Intensely strong flavor but light finish. Extremely complex but not overwhelming ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From a bottle in a snifter. Pours almost completely opaque except for the very edges, black to dark brown with small light brown head fading to almost soapy bubbles. I can smell the coffee before I even take a whiff, dark chocolate, whisky, smoke, earthy, walnuts. Oily texture, full bodied, slightly warming, soft carbonation. Sweet moving to a long more balanced finish, with some hints of bitterness. More coffee, some dried fruits, cocoa, very earthy. Fantastic beer.

Bottle at RBBWG shared by Benzai, thank you sleeping man! Coffee, espresso, bitter, vert high capuccino. Quite awesome but if you don't like coffee you won't like this.

Bottle poured into a snifter. Release 40 Big Bad Baptist pours black with a thick creamy dark brown head that lasts a good while. The aroma is coffee, chocolate, woods and whiskey. Itís nice! The flavor is heavy coffee with some chocolate and a touch of caramel. The whiskey and wood then shine and the coffee and whiskey carry the aftertaste. Overall this is freakiní fantastic!
