Tasted on 5/8/13 from a capped 650mL bomber bottle, thanks to Jonathan for sharing this one. Pours a very thick, nearly black, dark brown with an average tan head that slowly recedes to average lace. The nose is dominated by dark chocolate and coffee, with plenty of general roast, and just a light touch of maple whiskey lingering. The flavor is pretty much the same with some added molasses, and the alcohol hidden nicely, with the dark chocolate and coffee really dominating. The body is very full with just under average carbonation and a long dark chocolate, coffee, molasses, and touch of maple finish.

Bottle courtesy of Ang’, (cheers Ang’) shared with Ang’ and Chris O, at Brewery Tap, Friday 21st October 2016 Lovely pour, dark, dark brown, ok probably black with a nice creamy textured head. Soft and creamy chocolate and spice combine well, bourbon envelopes slowly, stunning mouthfeel. Dry finish not cloying at all, a touch boozy. All of a sudden lots of coffee beans show, great beer. On tap. Pours deep black with moderate amount of tan head. Nose is bourbon, with notes of milk chocolate, coffee, and vanilla. Taste follows the nose: lots of bourbon and chocolate. Very creamy and surprisingly easy drinking - the alcohol is well hidden. Very nice.

Release #36 12.4% abv Brewed 12/2013. Barreled & then bottled 9/2014. Drinking 9-21-16 for 65th birthday...Unabashedly coffee forward with underlying chocolate base. Roasted malt harmonies. Still slight but delicate bourbon nose and vanilla whispers, not much as I’d like, but still tantalyzing, much like the brief whiff of the perfume memory of a long lost love on the night wind, a heartache that floats for a moment to the surface only to slip quietly away once again. The scent of old leather, like a library of well loved books and subtle hints of latakia tobacco, war stories of brothers-in-arms, and the night falling inward with its dark embrace.

Rating #2141 - 2015.10.31 - Black as the belt of a bible thumping Albertan in a karate class, with a weak tan head that caps nicely. Aroma is heavy roast malt and dark roast coffee, molasses. Huge cocoa, espresso notes, Taste is heavy on roast malt and coffee flavours, pronounced sweetness, well bittered. J.

Bomber from Casa De Oro. 12.3% version.Pitch black in color. Sweet roasty coffee notes up front along with a bit of whiskey. Whiskey and a sugary roast up front. Decent amount of whiskey throughout. Just a slight hint of alcohol. Very smooth and easy to sip. Quite well balanced. All of the flavors seem to mesh really well. Good brew.

Release 13, opened 9/2/16. Surprisingly amazing after this long in the bottle and not-perfect cellering. Still has subtle coffee notes after 3 years. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Awesome. On tap at brewery over summer with its son. Just a solid ba stout. Chocolate coffee dark fruit bourbon. Warming. Not smooth palate for a big boy. Great stuff!
