Tasting at Bruce’s Pad.Batch #7. Thanks to Colin. Opaque black - brown beer, tidy tan head. Palate is soft and airy. Light fine carbonation. Smooth dark malts with light oaky sweetness. Earthy coffee and a touch of vanilla. Mild tangy dark fruits underneath. Whisper of toffee before a smooth dry finish. Nice one.

Bottle. Black. Thick brown head. Nice cocoa aroma with no whisky, how is that possible? Nicely balanced whisky and chocolate taste, very complex and full of character.

Dark brown. Big coffee aroma, but like a sweet creamy coffee. Rich, super sweet, again some coffee but it’s silky...chocolate, too, but again silky. Finish is warming and decadent. Apres-ski beer if I’ve ever had one.
