Brainless Belgian-Style Golden Ale is has a rich and complex malt flavor balanced with a little bit of spicy noble hops and strong influences of fermentation esters from the Belgian yeast used. Various Belgian like Rock Candies, hops and grains are employed to express variations within the style. Deceivingly drinkable, some liken theses ales to the Devil sneaking up on you, so consume responsibly.

Tap at Churchkey for the Epic launch party. Poured a clear, jewel gold with a quickly diminishing white head. Aroma is hugely medicinal like smelling straight up cough syrup and honey laden cough drops. Taste is sweet and medicinal with doses of Robitussin. Chalky, powdery palate. Almost like eating baby powder in the finish.

Clear golden pour with a white head. Sweet aroma of grain, yeast, honey and light fruit. Flavor is much the same, a bit sweet and fruity with a touch of alcohol on the finish. Not bad.

The Belgian ales are definitely an acquired taste. Of those I have tried, this is my favorite. The high alcohol content does not make for a long evening of drinking this beer. Good taste.

Superdave with the hookup. Bottle pours pale yellow with a white head. Aroma is grainy and somewhat sweet with underlying notes of pear, apple, and a touch of honey. Flavor shows the same with your typical belgian yeastiness. Overall body is moderate, soft, and finishes with light bitterness.

Tasted on 12/19/10 from a bomber bottle with the AZ Crew. Thanks to SuperDave for bringing this one. Pours clear bright golden with a thin white head that leaves a thin collar of lace. The nose is spicy Belgian yeast with a hint of banana and clove. The flavor features some sweetness along with the same banana and clove spice on the palate, this is a very straight-forward, but very well made Belgian Ale. The body is light, but sticky, with lively carbonation and a long sticky and yeasty finish.

Bomber poured a hazy golden yellow with a lingering ring of off white foam. Aromas of yeast, straw, pear, light pineapple and a hint of spice. Palate was light to medium bodied and crisp with a smooth finish. Flavors of straw, pear, light pineapple and hints of citrus and spice with a smooth lingering fruity finish.
