The first time I tasted this beer, I must admit I was a bit in a haze. But even then, I realized that I had just tasted the finest beer in my life. Many many months later, and after trying so many similar beers, I still hold fast to giving this beer the title of the Greatest Beer in the World!

Ampolla 65cl. En nas tocs d’aranja i força floral. El gust és molt similar a l’aroma. L’alcohol i es present, es nota. El final és amarg. Quan s’escalfa una mica es més dolça i es va dissipant el sabor de l’alcohol inicial. M’agrada’t.

One of the more drinkable belgian strong ales I have had recently. Nice sweet malty, grassy aromas...sweet bready, and citrus notes too. A very nice bright sunny yellow pour with lots of sediment. Oily and somewhat flat palate. Smooth...very nice. Sweet and malty and bready...a bit of citrus, with a seamless hoppy finish. Nice stuff.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 KyotoLefty (4732) - Kyoto, JAPAN - NOV 5, 2012
UPDATED: NOV 7, 2012 Draught at Tadg’s. Spicy, yeasty nose with some lemon. Dark gold color with lace. Sweet malty flavor with honey and lemon. A bit too sweet for me, without a decent hop bite or solid crispness. Ok, though.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 maekchu (1090) - Hirakata, JAPAN - NOV 4, 2012
On tap at Tadg’s. Fruity nose (peach, berries), with light hopping. Clear medium dark straw color. Beautiful peach flavor in initial; this strengthens in mid palate; in final it all levels out and glides down to a pleasant sweetness. Medium body. Lip-smacking stuff.

Bottl.e Pours a hazy golden color with a fairly thick white head. Little bit of sweetness and floral notes to the nose, though they aren’t all that strong. Taste is much sweeter and almost harsh. Not a huge fan of this one.
