Bomber from Bine & Vine. Pours hazy golden amber with a 4 finger foamy white head. Aroma through the head has lots of resin with some light pitted fruit. Med + body. Flavor is resin, fruit and herbal hop. There’s some typical Belgian yeast/spice. In fact it’s pretty spicy in a non-jalapeno sense. Head does some lacing. It’s quite flavorful. Nicely done.

Bottle at RBWG 2013 Grand Tasting. Pours clear, yellow-gold with a slight white cream head. Lots of bright citrus in the nose with a good dose of Belgian yeast. Medium sweet flavor, light dry grapefruit, yeast, spicy pine. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Clean, fresh finish, some grapefruit, orange, melon. Good stuff.

bottle. lightly hazed dark honey-colored body with a small, creamy off-white head. mostly typical aroma, american hop pine resin / citrus fruit with a moderate touch of burnt caramel syrup and a hint of some Belgian yeast esters (which with some mint and shallot-like hop scents, seems to come across as a burnt toothpaste and herb smell). very soft velvety texture, nice to experience, but there’s a scorched butter and mint flavor throughout.

Dogbrick (7634) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - MAY 10, 2013
Sample from cask at the 10th annual Barley’s Mini Real Ale Fest on 05/04/13: Clear orange color with a medium foamy white head that recedes slowly. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops and tropical fruit. Medium body with flavors of fruity hops, biscuit malt and a bit of yeast. The finish is mildly bitter with a citrusy hops aftertaste. Decent overall.

Ughsmash (7099) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 10, 2013
Bomber. Poured medium golden with a sticky beige head. The aroma picked up earth, spicy pine, and floral hoppage (all nice and fresh) plus peppery/fruity yeast over sweet pale and biscuity notes. The flavor found spicy pine and citrus over mostly biscuity malt.. fresh, clean, vibrant hops.. finished more peppery, picking up a bouquet of light fruits. Medium-bodied with moderate-plus bitterness.. the spicy yeast really stood out as it warmed up, and it worked great with the rest of the beer.. excellent stuff!
