Citrus/apple fruit; spicy; biscuit/cereal malt; some banana-like yeast character. Sweetish flavor, which comes through more in aftertaste (wonder if they used the Westmalle yeast?). Firm bitterness. (Release #2)

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass; release #3, bottled on 2/2/2013. Pours very hazy golden amber color with a nice 2 finger dense and fluffy white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of lemon zest, grapefruit, orange zest, pine, pear, floral, grass, pepper, and yeast spiciness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of hop and yeast notes. Taste of lemon zest, grapefruit, orange zest, pear, floral, grass, pepper, pine, and earthy yeast spiciness. Fair amount of pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, citrus zest, pear, floral, pepper, pine, and yeast spiciness on the finish for a bit. Very nice balance and complexity of hop flavors with spicy esters; with a good bitterness/sweetness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a fairly sticky and moderately crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a very nice Belgian IPA. Good balance of hop and yeast ester flavors; and very smooth to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Sample from a 22oz bottle. Mildly hazy orange golden color. Thin bubbly white head. Dots of lace. Smooth, kind of creamy texture. Lighter carbonation. Medium-plus body. Lightly dry finish. Citrus-orange hop flavor. Light belgian yeast character. Mild light bitter taste. Very light spice. Solid mildly belgian-style IPA

Dogbrick (6033) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - MAY 10, 2013
Sample from cask at the 10th annual Barley’s Mini Real Ale Fest on 05/04/13: Clear orange color with a medium foamy white head that recedes slowly. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops and tropical fruit. Medium body with flavors of fruity hops, biscuit malt and a bit of yeast. The finish is mildly bitter with a citrusy hops aftertaste. Decent overall.

Bottle into a goblet. Pours hazy orange with a bubbly white head that leaves moderate lacing. Big funky farmhouse aroma with hints of earth, peaches, horse blanket and slightly spicy yeast. Taste is bit and fruity. Lots of peach notes. Deliciously crisp on the finish. Overall, the aroma is a bit off-putting at first but once you taste it everything comes together.

Bottle. Pours hazy amber-orange with a large pillowy white head that slowly dissipates with nice lacing. Aroma is citrus, pine, Brett. Flavor is about the same, lightly sweet, light bitter, small touch of funk. A bit of warming on the finish, which is interesting for 6.5%. Medium body, bit creamy. Decent.

22 oz. bottle (Release #3 ABV. 6.3%). Pours hazy orange with a nice big foamy white head that slowly dissipates to a foamy film and solid lacing all around. Aroma has big bitter floral notes with yeast some hidden tart fruitiness. Taste is bitter fruity grapefruit and earthy floral hops with light tart lemon zest and yeast and a touch of malt. Palate is medium with good gentle carbonation and a nice tart/funk dry finish. This is a really nice beer! Will be picking up more for sure!

22oz bomber from Tops pours with a slightly hazy copper body supporting a near white head of foam. The aroma offers up a mix of pine hops and then to a much lesser extent citrus hops mixing with just a hint of spicy Belgian yeast. The taste is similar with firm pine hoppiness blending into some grapefruit like citrus hops. This is full of both flavor and bitter hops with a complimentary thin backbone of malt sweetness. Nice!

Bottle from 16 Tons, Eugene. Release #2. Slightly cloudy straw color, lots of head. Aroma a good combination of resin and funk. Body is very lively, finish is also lovely, subtle and slightly dry, would really love to get this on draft.
