Citrus/apple fruit; spicy; biscuit/cereal malt; some banana-like yeast character. Sweetish flavor, which comes through more in aftertaste (wonder if they used the Westmalle yeast?). Firm bitterness. (Release #2)

Good flavor, nice hop profile. Not much of an aroma but could just be my nose

Bomber @ Owl Bar. Clean amber with luscious head. Aroma is earthy, small amounts of orange, some resin. Taste is pine needles, lemon hops, sourdough and barnyard funk. Bitter finish.

Draft. Amber beer with a cream head. Yeast and light spice aroma with grapefruit. Yeast and light spice flavor. Medium bodied. OK bitterness. Yeast and spice linger with light grapefruit.

Bomber of release #14 from the brewery. Pours a cloudy orange with a tall white head. Smells like some good stuff here. There is definitely some grapefruity hops over the Belgian notes of peppers, barnyard and a dash of clove. The hops are less pronounced in the flavor, but I tend to think that some esters mask hops. The body is medium, a little sticky and has reasonable carbonation. Flavor has some banana, cloves, assertive grapefruity hops, not quite American IPA level, but definitely enough for this style. Finish is peppery with drying citrus. Very nice.

22 oz bomber. Release #7. I am normally not a fan of BIPA’s, but I have to say this one is pretty drinkable. The spice/yeast combination was muted, allowing the taste to shine through.

Excellent yeast, slightly bretty BIPA. Big hops, smooth body and sweet/dry combo finish. Ticks all the boxes and is highly drinkable.

22. Pours a murky dark amber, closer to brown maybe. Dense creamy white head that sticks around to the bitty bottom. Lots of lace. Big bright grapefruit, orange, and tangerine nose, bit of pineapple. Explosively showcased SAW-type hop blend. Creamy medium body with pleasant and perfectly placed moderate carb. Lightly toasted caramel underneath a great citric and tropical, oily hop was at the finish, leaving more on grapefruit at the end than resin. Wonderful IPA.

pineypower (2411) - Pine Barrens, New Jersey, USA - MAR 8, 2014
Pours out a nice golden/amber/copper color with an off white head. Aroma is of fruity yeast, light tartness, citrus rind bitterness. Taste is light grains, fruity Belgian style yeast, mild dried fruits, bitter white grapefruit hop notes, and a dry hoppy finish.

Location: 22 oz bottle from Sparrow, 2/28/14

Aroma: The nose is Belgian yeast, spice, fruity hops, and little pine
Appearance: It pours a cloudy golden-orange color with a frothy off-white head
Flavor: The taste is much the same, yeasty and spicy, light sweet, medium hop bitterness
Palate: The body is medium, it has an average carbonation, and a dryish finish
Overall Impression: This is pretty solid, on-style example of a Belgian-style IPA. The Belgian yeast flavors and the hops are both noticeable and work nicely together. Very drinkable. Very solid.

Tap @ Upstairs. Pour cloudy orange with nice white head. Taste is mild citrus with grapefruit aftertaste. Not overly hoppy. Good drinkable IPA.
