3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured 22 oz into a tulip glass. It had good carbonation. It had a slight sour cherry note which went well with this sour beer. I was however hoping for more cherry favors. I didn’t find it as enjoyable as a Lindemans.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours a hazy ruby with small pinkish head that lasts leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is cherry skin and wood. Thin mouth, light tart cherry, vinous, lingering dryness, good.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Hot on alchol. Sweet and not much barrel. Not what I had hope yeast comes through a bit but not impressive.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
22oz bottle -
Aroma - fruit forward aroma, mostly cherries, there is some light bubblegum and alcohol too.
Appearance - hazy blood orange body, 3-finger head with above average retention, light lacing
Mouthfeel - light bodied, medium carbonation, crisp
Flavor - cherry flavor up front, some Belgian spicy notes, straw flavors and noticeable alcohol. Some wood notes come out about 1/2 way through.
Overall - Not bad, esp. if you enjoy cherries. A bit overpriced for the product in the bottle. Good to share or take to a tasting.

Sampled at 2011 RBWG. Pours cloudy maroon with almost no head. The nose is malt, cherries and booze. The taste is pretty much the same. Medium prickly mouthfeel. 3.4

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
22 oz bottle. Pours a clear light reddish amber color with a small fizzy pink head. The aroma and flavor have a big cherry juice note, sweet, mild Chardonnay character with some wood. I really wanted to like this, but it came off more like a juice than it did beer. No sign of the abv.

God awful batch 3. Infected? Sure, wait this may taste better if it was. Drain poured most of 22. I remember why I don’t drink Epic....

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Solid pink coloured body with a very bright ruby tint and a super fast-dying off-white head. Aroma of alcohol, wine, must, basement, yeast, raspberries and cherries for sure. Medium-bodied; Assertive effervescence with a lot of alcohol flavours at first, pungent wine tastes, oak, bourbon, hay, grass and a belgian-yeast strain. Aftertaste is strong with alcohol coming through the most, some cherry and fruit notes and a bit of earth on the finish - relatively complex. Overall, a strong and pungent beer, but it doesn’t quite work too well. I was expecting an aged sour beer, but this one turned out to be a high-alcohol and gravity fruit beer. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Total Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 09-October-2011 for US$10.99 sampled at home in Washington after aging for ~1.5 years on 09-April-2013.

1.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20
In short: A sweet lifeless red beer that tastes like a ‘fake’ flavored drink.
How: Bottle 22oz, batch 1, some age on it. An atrocity left at my house by douglass88, I hate you Doug.
The look: A bit of a gusher. Pale red body topped by a big fizzy pink head that dissipates quickly with a “pshhh” sound.
In long: The discreet nose is sweet cherry pastry, light sweaty/cheesy notes and most of all a fake Cool-Aid sensation. Taste is super-sweet, fake sweet cherry juice, cinnamon, coriander. Extremely astringent finish that feels very awkward. I didn’t taste any white wine barrels although there was something woody about the astringent finish. Lifeless body. Tastes like a spicy under-carbonated cherry flavored soda-pop. Pretty gross, couldn’t drink more than half a glass then drained-poured the rest of the bomber. Pretty excited I’ve made it through so far in my life without ever drinking Epic Brainless on Cherries twice.

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle shared by Darrell. Thanks man.
The beer is a light ruby color, appearing mildly hazy. Small off white head that rapidly fades to a wispy layer of sparse bubbles. The aroma is surprisingly weak, lacking any recognizable cherry presence. Odd flavor, with tart cherries and an odd, artificial sweetness. Not a fan of this one. Prickly carbonation and unpleasant lingering aftertaste. Not a repeat for me.
