3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Solid pink coloured body with a very bright ruby tint and a super fast-dying off-white head. Aroma of alcohol, wine, must, basement, yeast, raspberries and cherries for sure. Medium-bodied; Assertive effervescence with a lot of alcohol flavours at first, pungent wine tastes, oak, bourbon, hay, grass and a belgian-yeast strain. Aftertaste is strong with alcohol coming through the most, some cherry and fruit notes and a bit of earth on the finish - relatively complex. Overall, a strong and pungent beer, but it doesnít quite work too well. I was expecting an aged sour beer, but this one turned out to be a high-alcohol and gravity fruit beer. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Total Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 09-October-2011 for US$10.99 sampled at home in Washington after aging for ~1.5 years on 09-April-2013.

The pour on this beer is itís best feature. I love the red/ruby color in the glass. You can get a good whiff of the cherries and hops. I have sensitive taste buds to tart things and this was one of those that seemed a little sour to me. Itís a pretty beer, but not one of my favorites. I love the Peach version much more.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bomber from secret santa; clear rosy red with faint white head; dry cherries, vanilla syrup and dry malt; the base beer is trumped by the cherries and the sharp, lemon malt is completely gone; this beer is crazy dry with mild cherry syrup; eh, not my cup of tea

Bottle shared by Ibrew3or4, danka. Crazy CO2 in this, perferred this to the peach varient due to taste. You get a little cherry and barrel but itís not well balanced. Skip this.

transparent crimson, reguler epic nose, phenolic and peppery. Heavy cherry, heavy metal, carbonation way too high, light pepper. fruit becomes synthetic as no texture imbued other than extreme carbonation.

3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Beer is the new wine. This brew pours a copperish amber color with a soapy, rapidly depleting head. Smells of....cherries...Medium full nectar with good carbonation. A malt forward brew style with plenty of acidity and cherry essence. A bit of toasted oak is noticeable adding to itís depth. The finish has a slight of caramel on it. A sipping savory brew for sure but a bit boring. Give me more carbonation, tartness, and density. Bam!

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Thanks to IBrew2or3 for the share. Pours translucent pink with a fizzy white head that recedes. Nose is cherry, sweetness, cherry pits, wood, and a hint of funk, like a George Clinton CD playing in an elevator. Flavor is similar- like the peaches treatment, this one has elements of sour, but the sweet qualities are what really comes through. Interesting take on this one, I usually like better the use of cherries, but this one is very sweet for a sour.

On tap at beer engine, pour is murky red with a nose of cherries and the taste reveals a bubblegum taste to bring out the Belgian no bad certainly worth trying

2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
22oz bottle from Dutchís Bar & Bottle Shop in Cincinnati, OH. Release #3, 10.7%ABV. Pours a cloudy, orange-amber colored body with a thin, fizzy and frothy, off-white, pinkish head that dissipates quickly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is somewhat sweet cherries with a touch of tartness, a good amount of wood, some white wine, a bit of a bready maltiness, and a light phenol note. Flavor is pretty messy IMO. Lots of cherries, Belgian yeast, wood, white wine, and a sweet malt backing that never comes together for me. The cherries are mostly sweet with a bit of a tartness and the yeast is somewhat doughy and phenolic with a light spiciness. Finishes fairly bitter, dry, and spicy, but sweet while drying with a good amount of cherries. Lengthy aftertaste following a medium body and a fizzy carbonation. Overall, this was a bit of a mess for me. A lot of distinct flavors that never blended well together. Fizzy and slightly boozy too. Eh...
