2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 markwise (3803) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - MAY 4, 2011Thanks to IBrew2or3 for the share. Pours translucent pink with a fizzy white head that recedes. Nose is cherry, sweetness, cherry pits, wood, and a hint of funk, like a George Clinton CD playing in an elevator. Flavor is similar- like the peaches treatment, this one has elements of sour, but the sweet qualities are what really comes through. Interesting take on this one, I usually like better the use of cherries, but this one is very sweet for a sour.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 jgb9348 (3966) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - APR 9, 2013
Rating #3900
Solid pink coloured body with a very bright ruby tint and a super fast-dying off-white head. Aroma of alcohol, wine, must, basement, yeast, raspberries and cherries for sure. Medium-bodied; Assertive effervescence with a lot of alcohol flavours at first, pungent wine tastes, oak, bourbon, hay, grass and a belgian-yeast strain. Aftertaste is strong with alcohol coming through the most, some cherry and fruit notes and a bit of earth on the finish - relatively complex. Overall, a strong and pungent beer, but it doesn’t quite work too well. I was expecting an aged sour beer, but this one turned out to be a high-alcohol and gravity fruit beer. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Total Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 09-October-2011 for US$10.99 sampled at home in Washington after aging for ~1.5 years on 09-April-2013.

1.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20 Glouglouburp (5568) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 8, 2013
In short: A sweet lifeless red beer that tastes like a ‘fake’ flavored drink.
How: Bottle 22oz, batch 1, some age on it. An atrocity left at my house by douglass88, I hate you Doug.
The look: A bit of a gusher. Pale red body topped by a big fizzy pink head that dissipates quickly with a “pshhh” sound.
In long: The discreet nose is sweet cherry pastry, light sweaty/cheesy notes and most of all a fake Cool-Aid sensation. Taste is super-sweet, fake sweet cherry juice, cinnamon, coriander. Extremely astringent finish that feels very awkward. I didn’t taste any white wine barrels although there was something woody about the astringent finish. Lifeless body. Tastes like a spicy under-carbonated cherry flavored soda-pop. Pretty gross, couldn’t drink more than half a glass then drained-poured the rest of the bomber. Pretty excited I’ve made it through so far in my life without ever drinking Epic Brainless on Cherries twice.

Bottle shared by Darrell. Thanks man.
The beer is a light ruby color, appearing mildly hazy. Small off white head that rapidly fades to a wispy layer of sparse bubbles. The aroma is surprisingly weak, lacking any recognizable cherry presence. Odd flavor, with tart cherries and an odd, artificial sweetness. Not a fan of this one. Prickly carbonation and unpleasant lingering aftertaste. Not a repeat for me.
