Note: batch 5 and all subsequent batches are put into Red Wine Barrels (the batch number is printed on the label). All earlier batches were in White Wine Barrels and should not be rated here. Release 5 of Brainless on Cherries, has a new twist- we used Red Wine (cab and syrah) barrels for the second fermentation and aging as apposed to White Wine barrels. The result, dryer, lighter body, fruit shines thru and a bit of tannin and wood notes in the finish

Pours a ruby red with a white foam head that fizzles away quickly. Aroma is mainly cherries along with some Belgian yeast. Flavor is slightly sweet cherries and Belgian yeast. Has plenty of carbonation. My least favorite of the Brainless series so far, but still quite tasty.

Cherries just do not work with beer. Have yet to have one that we like. Pours a fairly bright red with little head. Smells a bit of cherries and red wine. Lots of cherries in the taste, a bit sour, some lambic in the finish. Couldn't have a whole glass of it. Had on tap at the brewery.

Bottle at home. Pours clear dark amber with a small, fizzy off-white head, short retention with spare lacing. Aroma is cherry, oak, vinous notes and toast, cookie malt, light earthy hops and yeast. Flavor is toasted malt, cherry, vinous notes and oak, light hops and bitterness with a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

(Backlog) Bottle, assuming it was batch 5+. Ruby pour with white head. Vinous and cherry aromas. Light cherry, wine and oak flavors are light and almost nonexistent, not very drinkable and boring.

Bomber. Poured a ruddy brownish red with only slightest head noted. Aroma is a very light mixture of cherries and grapes. Tastes is a sweet/soured blend of fruits. Some belgian yeast funk in the aftertaste. Tastes became a bit more complex as this one warms up.

Pours a darker red with no real head or lacing. Tastes like a watery wine and cherries. Maybe hints of beer. I like beer of different varieties and flavors, but I do want it to taste like a beer. This does not to me. I really am not a fan. It is drinkable. That is it.

Tap at hops and pie. Clear ruby amber with a frothy beige head that lasts on the sides. Aromas of cherries, and caramel/dark fruit. Flavor is cherry, caramel, spice and light booze. Medium to full bodied with a dry, warm end.
