3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 11/20
22 oz. bottle in a snifter. Appearance is an amber-pink color with a fizzy white head which dissipates very quickly. Aroma is rich pale malts, banana, cloves, some cherry tartness, and Belgian yeast funk. Taste follows the nose. It definitely tastes like a Belgian ale with a bit of cherries. Unfortunately, that combination doesn’t work as well as I’d hoped. Overall, this is pretty average.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the Denver taproom. Golden/amber and clear appearance with a small white head. Aroma of wine, oak, cherries, light spices, tannins and noble hops. Similar flavor, fruity and dry with Belgian yeast characteristics and a solid malty profile. Medium body, the alcohol is mostly hidden.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pour on tap at the brewery, dark reddish pour with pinkish head, aroma brought notes of cherry pie, cherry juice, hints of slight wine, oaky notes, hints of a medicine in there, touch of vinegar as well. Taste is a mix of red wine, oak, slight tart lemon into a cherry, medicinal notes, hints of spice, finishing slightly tart, sweet.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Clear brilliant copper with a slight reddish pinkish tone. The aroma is of sweet tart cherries with a big backbone of strong boozy pale malt cereal tones. Taste has some slight sour cherries with a mild sweetness and some strong pale grain maltiness, a bit of toast, strong boozy cracker/biscuitiness, and a faint cherry tone on the finish. Most of the body comes from the strong Belgian blonde background.

1.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
Tap at Congregation Azusa. Pours a flat, reddish amber. Nose is old, dusty, strange. Taste is harsh stomach acid, butyric, extreme newspaper/wet cardboard. Heavily oxidized at some point. Undrinkable.
