COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Note: batch 5 and all subsequent batches are put into Red Wine Barrels (the batch number is printed on the label). All earlier batches were in White Wine Barrels and should not be rated here. Release 5 of Brainless on Cherries, has a new twist- we used Red Wine (cab and syrah) barrels for the second fermentation and aging as apposed to White Wine barrels. The result, dryer, lighter body, fruit shines thru and a bit of tannin and wood notes in the finish

Bomber Batch 14 poured a clear reddish amber with a lingering ring of pinkish foam. Aromas of cherries, bread, oak and light vinous notes. Palate was light bodied and smooth. Flavors of cherries, bread, light vinous notes and light oak with a smooth lingering cherry finish.

Tannin and cherries are everywhere, but a bit one dimensional and doesn’t meld as nearly well as the Peaches. still OK though.

The tannins on this one gave it a tart flavour, which along with the cherry had an interesting interplay. Didn7t really jump out at me though.

Bottle. Pinkish appearance. Minimal head. Combo sour yeast. Interesting and wouldn't mind trying again next year. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The last of the brainless tasting my friends and I enjoyed inside the tent in Zion while it rained cats and dogs slash snowed outside and we were pretty good by this point. Cherries are definitely prominent but in a sweet way. Possibly the best of the bunch, though I do love raspberries more as just the fruit.

Draft at sb. Pours a crystal clear rubied dark amber with a light creamy tan ring of mousse. Fresh fruity nose--both cherried and vinous. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Some oak, some red wine, some light pie cherries on the mid palate. A little brown sugar underneath that, maybe some caramel. Pleasant light finish from all these elements.

Flat, luminous apricot color. Smooth body bit of cherry soda aroma and flavor with a slight Belgian twang underpinning. Green cherry finish. Ok overall.

(22oz bomber release #7) clear cherry red with a ring of white bubbles. Nose of cherry, medicinal, wood, red wine. Taste of cherry, woody, medicinal, nice barrel flavors despite some imperfections, vinous, red grapes, alcohol, well carbonated and dry finish.

Location: 22 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 2/8/13, Release # 13

Aroma: The nose has some sour cherries, wood, barnyard funk, and yeast
Appearance: It pours a reddish color with a small, quickly dissipating head and no lace
Flavor: The taste is on the tart side, with some wood, funk, wine, and fruity flavors
Palate: The body is light-medium, it has soft-to-average carbonation, and a dry, tart finish
Overall Impression:  I found this to be a fairly interesting and worth try offering. It has a nice tartness to it, some funkiness, and mustiness too.
