COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Note: batch 5 and all subsequent batches are put into Red Wine Barrels (the batch number is printed on the label). All earlier batches were in White Wine Barrels and should not be rated here. Release 5 of Brainless on Cherries, has a new twist- we used Red Wine (cab and syrah) barrels for the second fermentation and aging as apposed to White Wine barrels. The result, dryer, lighter body, fruit shines thru and a bit of tannin and wood notes in the finish

Blood orange color with quickly fading foam. Smells like apricots and funky basement. Sweet and tart cherries with a slight funk and some mild bitterness. Medium-bodied with a very dry finish and low carbonation. Kind of a weird tripel, but definitely worth trying.

Bottle (Batch 22) - Pours pinkish amber with a thin off-white head. Nose is grainy, a little yeasty and not much fruit. A hint of SweetTart. Taste is grainy, with dusty yeast and really no cherries. Watery and thinnish. A huge disappointment as I really like cherry beers.

Release #27 abv% 10.8. Grape wine color, no head. Sour Cherry cider nose. Slightly sour cherries, soft red wine notes, hint of funk. Never tasted anything like this, very unusual. Finishes with a nice dryness. great.

22 oz bottle. Pours a clear light reddish amber color with a small fizzy pink head. The aroma and flavor have a big cherry juice note, sweet, mild red wine character, tannins and some wood.Much like batch 1-4, it came off more like a juice than it did beer. No sign of the abv.

Very nice ruby red amber color. Cherry aroma. Sips almost sour lambic like, very fruity. But nicely dry and balanced with the wine barrel flavor, which is very pronounced. Low carbonation liveliness. Alcohol is hardly noticeable.

Not sure if this one works. The various flavor components are individually superb, but they fight each other. A bit too much dissonance. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Nice reddish color, some flavor from the wine barrels adding and nice cherry taste without being over powering.

Draft at Uno. Pours copper with no head at all. Aroma is cherry, grass. Taste is tart cherry, a nice red wine (meaty, dark fruits). Iím missing the "ale" part here to be honest but the overall experience is not a bad one.
