22oz bottle thanks to Joe. Rating #5. This beer, although decent enough, just seemed a little underwhelming when it came to the fruit, I liked it, but the cherries weren’t really there. (2145)

Bomber from Rick’s Wine & Gourmet, opened 5/13/12. Pours a slightly hazy red color with a large fizzy tan head. Most of it fades quickly but a thin collar remains. Aroma of red wine,wood, cherries, grapes, citrus and caramel. The taste is red wine, tannins, bready notes, herbal notes, wood, caramel, grapes, cherries. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. A medicinal texture, but not flavor, is present in the back end. Decent beer.

Release #5 courtesy of douglas88 pours deep clear cherry juice with white head trimmed with a light pinkish hue. The aroma has some apples and pears as well as some fruity sourness, tartness and then yeasty spices. The taste has a great play going on between tart red wine notes, spicy oak, sweet apples and pears, some sour fruitiness and then rolling into soft spongy yeasty spiciness. This beer is really hitting the spot as all the conflicting notes come together with harmony. Yummers!

Batch 7. Clear pale reddish pour and whitish head. Smells like tart cherry pie. Flavor of tart cherries and sweet candi sugar and Belgian triple. Meh.

Slightly cloudy light red color with thin head fading to a collar. The nose has some artificial cherries plus some medicinal character. Off and not pleasing. Flavor is the same but quite a bit worse. Stale cough syrup with a hefty bit of booze. Body is medium with a dry off character. Chemicals and other gross things. Ugh.

(22oz bottle- Batch #7 thanks to thirdeye11) Pour is a pinkish orange with an off white head..Nose is oak, cherries, earthy, candy..Taste is oak, syrup, bready, caramel..Palate is warm

Bottle. The pour was a murky medium cranberry red with a small (1 finger or less) pink fizzy head that quickly dissipated down to a thin puddle and small collar, but did produce some really nice sheets of lace. The aroma was of a mild bread malt and a musty Belgian yeast with strong notes of cherries, red wine, wood and a light hint of alcohol. The taste was sweetly tart and a tad acidic with a big note of cherries early on, with the finish being a bit winey with a woody alcohol finish. The flavor lingered for a really nice long time after the swallow, allowing for the fruity alcohol taste to grow as time went on. Mouthfeel was just above light in body with a very nice dry texture and a fizzy carbonation. Overall a delicious Strong Ale, with the taste of the cherries and cask pretty much masking the high ABV...

Draft. A lively red color with hues of orange. Aroma is subtle with cherries. Taste is good and can really taste the oak. I'm not usually a fan of these types of beers, but this one is solid. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Nose: Cranberry Juice, Flint/Slate/Mineral, Red Licorice. Look: Ruby-Garnet. Taste: Immediate dryness. Sour Cherry, Bitter Cherry Skin Tannin Grip, Rosé Wine-like, Redcurrant Jam.

Bottle. Pours a clear deep reddish amber with a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of cherries that are slightly tart with a backing sweet grain and light funk. Flavor has more of an earthy note with some earthy grains, slightly tart cherry, a bit of alcohol and a hint of backing yeast.

On tap at Congregation Ale House in Long Beach, CA on 4/9/12. Poured into 8 oz. snifter. Clear copper red with 1 finger head that disappeared quickly. Light lacing slides rapidly back down into the beer. Aroma of yeast, cherries, yeast, cranberries, caramel, and oak. Taste of bready malts, earthy hops, grapes, cherries, spices and oak. Cherry flavor, while obvious, does not dominate. Medium body with amble carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
