This is like drinking a glass of wine. Should we call it a beer? Starts out a beer and mushed into being a wine by means of the barrel and adding fruit

Flavor: tropical fruit, pear, peach; from the mid-palate the flavor suddenly shifts to toasty French oak and vanilla, biscuit and yeast on the finish.

6 oz pour at Black Bottle Brewery. Golden-orange with a slight haze. The aroma is fruit/peaches, white wine, light yeast, sweet malts and fruity candy. Medium malt sweetness, light spicy hop bitterness and rich fruity wine flavor. Finishes dry and slightly chalky. Smooth and easy to drink at 10.7%.

Bottle. Pours a mostly clear dark golden color with a smallish white head. Nose has some peach notes to it, but more of that sweetness of the Belgian styles. Taste is sweet and peachy. Not too bad.

On tap at Muddy Waters. Nice cloudly pour with a bready, fruity aroma. Nice belgian yeast with good carbination and peach notes on the finish and palate. Abv is hidden very well - my favorite brainless!

Release # 19 - 11.8% ABV
This beer has a lot of wine notes to the aroma. Dry chardonnay with some oakiness present. The peach is subtle but present. Some cracker malt and graininess. Light tropical fruit esters and a hint of alcohol.
Pours a very clear gold with a thin white head that quickly recedes but clings to the edges. Almost no lacing but some mid sized legs.
Flavor is more reminiscent of a fruity white wine. The start does have some sweet cracker malt and a hint of breadiness. After that comes a sweet peach flavor which is followed by the white wine and oak notes. A bit of a tannic note to the beer in the finish with some oak as well. Low alcohol flavor also in the finish. Low bitterness. Finishes very dry. Very light Belgian phenolics.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium high carbonation. Medium low alcohol warmth; the alcohol is very well hidden. Low astringency.
Overall this is an interesting beer. The peach character is fairly light and more of a secondary note to the wine barrels. I must say the wine character kind of overshadows the rest of the beer.

Great American Beer Festival 2012. Light peaches in the aroma and flavor with oak and dry yeast. The alcohol is surprisingly high, I did not perceive it to be so strong.

22. Thanks, Shawn! Pours a cloudy medium amber with a dense and creamy off white head. Beautiful fragrant peaches on the nose. Creamy medium body with soft carb. Great combination of fruit with caramel and a bit of sweet esters (very faint bubble gum) on the mid palate. Long tangy finish. Really nice.

Draft at Bruery Provisions. Poured a cloudy gold. Nose is mild canned peaches and champagne yeast. Not much peach flavor. Like a really boozy triple. Some honey, white grape. Too boozy for me.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: FEB 11, 2013 Bottle at a Chriso tasting, London. Pours clear gold with a fine, white cream head. Sweaty and pukey pale malt nose, some hay. Big sweet flavor with some peaches and ripe citrus. Full bodied with average carbonation. Warming finish with sugary citrus and dumb sweetness. A bit sugary sweet overall. (3.5)
Bottle at the Funky 8, Brooklyn, NYC. Stupidly sweet and boozy. On this go-round I’m not terribly impressed, although I did drink this beer at a massive tasting where lower ABV beers would have been more welcome by yours truly. (2.8)
