This beer has a rich and complex malt flavor balance with a bit of spicy noble hops. The peach is very subtle but noticeable, with a dry finish from the champagne yeast in the 2nd fermentation in the French Chardonnay barrels.

Bottle from somewhere in Las Vegas. Drank at Syb Pig bottle share. Small snifter. Pours a very light, champagne looking beer with a thick head. Aroma of peaches, citrus, bread, and tart yeasts. The taste was a little weaker than expecting but the peaches and some tartness came through. The Belgian Yeasts were also prevalent. Not bad. Light body, easy to drink.

Release#34. Pours a beautiful radiant clear light golden. Small, lasting, fizzy white head. Aroma is yeasty, light citrus, peach meat, a hint of alcohol and spices and some nice barrel character. Flavor much the same but with more alcohol. On the sweeter side. Medium plus body. Medium plus alcohol presence through finish. Fairly carbonated. Some dry woodiness. Complexity asserted itself more after a few sips.

Nice golden color. Aroma of belgian yeast and pitted fruit which here is obviously the peaches. Taste is more of the same, huge body. Not overly complex, but nice.

Bottle from the BeerMonger in Portland, purchased under the influence of an excellent peach sour from Mazana.

In my tulip glass this pours urine yellow with hints of white head and big lacing. Nose of (1) dust (2) dough (3) alcohol (4) peaches and (5) green unripe apricot. Hints of fresh herb. Alcohol is forward in the flavor, grainy not very sour, some light peach pie, noticable chardonnay. I don’t get all that much belgian character from the yeast. The underlying base beer is not particularly pleasant and I’m left rather disappointed. I’d be a lot more tolerant if this as 5% abv, but 11%? Why?

UPDATED: NOV 9, 2014 Bottle: Hybrid body of lemon-yellow & goldenrod; quite hazy, expected for a Belgian ale with only mild translucency at the edges. Foamy & frothy white head sticks around for just a bit. Aroma has some peach to it, slightly concentrated & a little medicinal in execution, possibly from the infusion of the Belgian spiced yeast as well. Some kitchen-y spices, clove, toasty bread, & a faint pear-like, estery sweetness. Taste has some sweet, candied peaches, soggy bread, mild clove, herbal leafiness, & a sharp bite of alcohol in the finish - drawing similarity to rubbing alcohol? Kind of harsh, grows somewhat more medicinal with time. Peach-y, yeasty, bread filled finish with more heavy fusel notes... Not the biggest fan of this beer... Starts off okay, but it could do without the alcoholic pungency & medicinal overtones.

Draft. A very sweet saison with a bit of peach that comes off more as a general tanginess.
