This beer has a rich and complex malt flavor balance with a bit of spicy noble hops. The peach is very subtle but noticeable, with a dry finish from the champagne yeast in the 2nd fermentation in the French Chardonnay barrels.

On tap at Brouwers cafe. Pours a clear golden orange color with a medium white head that leaves light lacing. Smells of canned peach juice, the wood from the barrels it was aged in and slight chardonnay. Tastes of the same things in the smell. Mouthfeel is medium and slightly slick with decent carbonation. Not bad but I wish the peach flavor was slightly better. The wine barrel aging made it more unique. I prefer the raspberry version to this one.

Tap at hops and pie. Clear gold with a thin, frothy white head that lasts on the sides. Aromas of citrus, grape, peach, booze, and light spice. Flavor is the same. Medium bodied, lingering fruit.

Draught @ Brouwer’s Café:   Fiery golden, moderate foamy white head, fairly nice lacing.   Sweet syrupy nose, some canned peach aroma, but compared to Raspberries its not as pronounced.   Seems to have a smidgen of alcohol too   Heavy fruitness up front, a bit dank/sweaty, very much like that syrup you get in cans of fruit cocktail.   Not a bright peach that you might find in a sour, but instead a heavy syrupy almost over the top example.   Its just shy of being cloying, but does feel rather heavy.   Moderate to full body and mouthfeel.   Strong bready and mealy notes on the finish, with a strong yet dull peach flavor profile.   Sweet and syrupy, it has the added fruits of fruit cocktail going for it.   Tiz okay, hard to finish in large doses.   Prefer the Raspberry example over this one.

Bottle from somewhere in Las Vegas. Drank at Syb Pig bottle share. Small snifter. Pours a very light, champagne looking beer with a thick head. Aroma of peaches, citrus, bread, and tart yeasts. The taste was a little weaker than expecting but the peaches and some tartness came through. The Belgian Yeasts were also prevalent. Not bad. Light body, easy to drink.

Release#34. Pours a beautiful radiant clear light golden. Small, lasting, fizzy white head. Aroma is yeasty, light citrus, peach meat, a hint of alcohol and spices and some nice barrel character. Flavor much the same but with more alcohol. On the sweeter side. Medium plus body. Medium plus alcohol presence through finish. Fairly carbonated. Some dry woodiness. Complexity asserted itself more after a few sips.

Nice golden color. Aroma of belgian yeast and pitted fruit which here is obviously the peaches. Taste is more of the same, huge body. Not overly complex, but nice.

Bottle from the BeerMonger in Portland, purchased under the influence of an excellent peach sour from Mazana.

In my tulip glass this pours urine yellow with hints of white head and big lacing. Nose of (1) dust (2) dough (3) alcohol (4) peaches and (5) green unripe apricot. Hints of fresh herb. Alcohol is forward in the flavor, grainy not very sour, some light peach pie, noticable chardonnay. I don’t get all that much belgian character from the yeast. The underlying base beer is not particularly pleasant and I’m left rather disappointed. I’d be a lot more tolerant if this as 5% abv, but 11%? Why?
