Bottle - Nice sweet and a bit jammy raspberry. Pinkish orange with a decent white head. Sweet raspberry and light jammy qualities. Not bad.

Pours a dark ruby red/golden copper color with bright cherry edges and a one finger, pinkish head that quickly settles into a lasting ring. Minimal spotty lacing left behind. Sweet, syrupy aroma with a really strong jammy raspberry presence. Slightly medicinal and artifical smelling but there is a ton of raspberry and sweet malt. Not much else to say about the nose, just purťed raspberry syrup. Medium bodied with crisp carbonation and a sweet, tart raspberry presence dominating the flavor. Kind of reminds me of a lesser version of a New Glarus fruit beer. Not as sweet, syrupy or medicinal as he nose suggests with a nice puckering raspberry jam character countering the artifical/syrupy flavor. I was expecting it to be much more cloyingly sweet but itís decently balanced with tartness and subtle malt undertones. The high ABV is excellently masked without a trace of heat. Still, itís a novelty dessert beer thatís tough to drink in quantity.

Bottle, shared with my brother in law. Dark purplish-red, pink head. Jammy raspberry fruit, light phenols, dry finish. I liked this a lot more than the cherry version.

Pours a a clear ruby color with a very thin white head. Subtle, fruity aroma with some crisp maltiness. Strong, raspberry taste with a sweet kick finish. Goes down nice. Really good fruit beer

Appearance: clear ruby red, one finger of fine white head diminishing rapidly to a thin skim, patchy lacing. (3/5) Aroma: tart raspberries, pale malt, vinous, light floral. (7/10) Taste: moderate-high sweet, moderate tart, mild bitter. (7/10) Light body, lively carbonation, crisp tart finish. (3/5) Not without its charms, but very much raspberry dominant. Thereís a little musty vinous on the nose and towards the end, but for the most part, this is all about raspberry tartness. Which isnít a criticism, by any means, but itís definitely a much simpler experience than e.g. a Cantillon Rosť de Gambrinus. On the other hand, it gives precisely zero indications that itís almost 10%ABV, so you could give it to the kids and claim itís raspberry soda, if you wanted a night of peace and quiet... (Disclaimer: Iím not advocating drugging your children. I havenít gotten to that point. Yet.) (14/20)

650ml brown bottle, release #38. Pours out pink-orange, hazy. Thin pink tinged head. with some strudy lace rings. Sweet and tart raspberry aroma with lemony undertones. Taste has tart raspberry notes, a little musty and winey. A little alcohol at the end, pretty dry. Rather enjoyable, I think this would be even better in the summertime.

650ml bottle pours a light red amber color with a 2 finger white head that settles quickly leaving little to no lacing on the glass. Aroma is raspberries with notes of yeast and light malts. Taste is a raspberry tartness with a fruity and malty sweetness and a dry yeasty finish. Light bodied with fizzy carbonation. Just barely enough qualities to classify as a beer, but just makes the grade. Tasty and worth trying at least once.

Tap at Hathor. Pink-orange, hazy, with a fine, low head. Nose of raspberry and cream. A bit funky bitterness, raspberry, cream. Ok but a bit boring and for the weight, it doesnít really deliver.

Taster at AEON Liquor. Tart raspberries with a gentle sour edge, floral notes, not too sweet but does have a kind of soda-like carbonation, fairly dry finish. Not the most impressive for the style but decent I guess.

Bottle that my parents picked up on the last weekend visit to Lewiston, neither of them really cared for this, but itís still pretty cool they ventured out of their comfort zone a bit. Pours sort of a dirty ruby color, smaller beige head. Nose is raspberries and sort of musty, along with the Belgian yeast. Similar in the taste, the Belgian yeast and the raspberries come together in a musty, funky, barnyard sort of way. Both yeast and fruit are relatively strong in presence, but Iím not sure it really shines in any way. Decent, but in small doses.
