3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap 12 oz. pour into a New Belgium globe glass. Pours a slightly hazy pinkish golden color with a medium sized head that leaves ok lacing. Smells of raspberry, Belgian yeast, peppery, and a funky sour smell. Tastes of the same things in the smell with the peppery raspberry flavor being the forefront then a slightly sour aftertaste. Mouthfeel is medium and chewy with good carbon and a semi dry finish. Petty good fruit/sour beer I like how all the flavors and ingredient played off each other. Very well done.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at the Denver brewery. Red and clear appearance with a white head and light lacing. Aroma of raspberries, dark fruits, light yeast, and a touch of herbs and spices. Similar flavor, fruity and malty with mild sweetness, light tartness and minimal bitterness. Medium to full body with light carbonation and a lingering fruity finish.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
2/2/2015. 22 oz. bottle. Reddish amber with a white head. As soon as I opened the bottle, the raspberry aromas escaped, with that hints of yeast and funky notes. Light tartness with raspberry flavors. Some buttery texture. Very nice brew though.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft at Special Brews. Rosy red/brown, white string head. Really odd flavor profile.. Raspberry tartness, sure, but more dry bitter beer follows. Not exactly fruity overall, dry finishing body. Less tart than I want, oddly artificial bitter fruit too.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured into a snifter. Release #4, 9.8% ABV.
3.5 A: Clear orange amber color. One finger of frothy pink-tinted white head falls quickly, but does leave some lacing behind.
4.25 S: I really like how the raspberries have asserted themselves here. Instead of just a tart raspberry fruitiness, it comes off more like a funky lambic type of raspberry. The potent pepper and clove combine with the raspberry to really tickle the senses. These big three are the focus of the brew. Underneath you will find a light grassiness and a sugary maltiness. Quite nice this one is.
3.75 T: Tastes like it smells, but it just doesn’t match how well it worked in the nose. Fruity, funky raspberry. Lots of pepper and clove. Grassy, sugary maltiness.
3.5 M: Lighter medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Just a light spritziness from the carbonation.
3.75 D: I like the Brainless series. The base beer is always good and the fruity spins seem to work quite well.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Clear dark copper with a slight ruby hue. There’s a light white ring of roam around the glass. The aroma has a nice raspberry flesh and blonde Belgian malt tone. The flavor is big and bold and Belgian, with barn hay and Pilsner grains and a full bready toast tone with a sturdy raspberry tartness and flesh that balances out the tartness and becomes more of a flavor nuance, if not a bit of estery booziness. Nice raspberry undertones that makes it quite delightful.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aroma of tart raspberries. Dark copper with a reddish tint. Smooth and watery palate with mild carbonation. Stong tart berry and raspberry flavor like the cherry version but sweeter. No real hops presence. Nice flavorful brew if it’s your style.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 16/20
Papaya and rosehip nose. Cloudy copper, medium head, good lace. Papaya and hibiscus, with a raspberry finish. Thin and watery. Raspberry flavor is very delicate, surprising tropical notes. Better than others in the brainless series.
