22 oz. bottle shared by DanielCoor. Pours a hazy orange golden color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have grainy, pale malts, hints of mild spices, lightly toasted, some earth with a mild bitterness to the finish. Pretty mild from start to finish. Not one of my favorites from these guys.

Bottle. Poured hazy copper color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate toasted malt and grain aroma. Medium body and a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where not met with this beer.

22 oz. bottle shared by DanielCoor- thanks, Danny! Release #9. Pours a hazy gold with a small white head. Aroma of pale malts, brown rice graininess, straw, dried fruits. The flavor is a slightly better version of the same, where the brown rice and even a bit of hops are more distinguishable. Light-bodied, with a smooth mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Not much to it, but not bad.

22oz bottle, thanks to DanielCoor for sharing! Release #9, 5.6% ABV. Totally hazy orange amber color. Minimal white head, dots of lace. Smooth, lightly soft lighter carbonation. Lightly dry finish. Good toasty, grainy malt bill. Light citrusy hop to it. Moderate bitter taste, light sweet. Solid, easy-drinking smooth brown rice ale.. Never had a rice ale that was specifically brown rice, pretty cool

Bomber to snifter (shared by DanielCoor). Release #9. Looks alright; a somewhat cloudy dark orange with thin white lacing. Smells somewhat sweet and nutty. Tastes like it smells with an average (at best) mouthfeel. Eh.

DiarmaidBHK (3386) - Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 30, 2013
Bottle at taproom. Pours brownish with a thin head. Definitely has some brown rice funk on the nose or maybe I’m just smelling the soup pot. Has a bit of a tang to it. Finishes clean. Not quite quite what to make of it.

maxwelldeux (3548) - Everett, Washington, USA - JUL 21, 2013
Bottle. Nose has some nice grainy elements coming off this and reminds me just a bit of a rye beer. Taste is very much like a lager, without a lot of added complexity to it. Not a huge fan.

EdInSaltLake (628) - Salt Lake City, Utah, USA - JUN 1, 2013
Toasty, green apple, earthy/herbal character. Toasted aroma is more prominent than in the flavor, which also has some sweetness and bitterness. (Release #9)

kathouse (996) - Nevada, USA - APR 23, 2013
Ruddy brown with a thin khaki foam. Grainy aroma, bread, and sour dough. Light body and mouthfeel. Slight bitterness. Light caramel and toast. Finish is dry with a little residual sweetness. Not a bad beer.

Not that great. Sweet. Good mouthfeel no head nothing special in this brew. No hop still much better than a bud ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
