4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Pours a clear amber color with a moderate white head. I find the nose extremely malty, which I didnít expect. Smells very toasty with a hint of spiciness underneath. Slight hint of hops up front in the taste, but the malts overpower it on the back end. Interesting brew.

Cask: Tangerine and grapefruit nose, subtle pine needle hints. Cloudy amber medium yellow head, good lacing. Soft carbonation. Orange peel, light grapefruit. Quaffable, decently hopped, good balance. Itís what you want in an APA. Versatile in food pairing.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Golden amber with six fingers of shaving cream on top and thick lacing. Aroma is rather grainy with citrus, caramel and a smidgen of woodsy hops. Taste is nicely balanced with citrus, crystal malt, floral hops and notes of pine. A bit on the sudsy side with a middle of the road bitter finish thatís a bit peppery.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Aroma has notes of caramel malts, pine resin hops, citrus and slight infection. Medium copper amber hue with a huge off-white head that stuck around and left good lace. Flavor is very sweet and medium bitter. Palate is medium/full bodied and fizzy carbonation. Overall an ok Pale Ale but Iím detecting an infected bottle here. There are off aromas and flavors but they remain mostly hidden behind the large hop and malt profile. Way too much carbonation as well. Too bad. Everything else was looking stellar.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured from a 22 ounce bottle at the brewery. Toasted malt, grainy, fruity/floral hop character, clean yeast. A nice easy drinking pale ale.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bomber. Sweet malty aroma without much in the way of hop. Hazy gold with a huge, white head. Head overflowed a bit when I poured it, so pretty lively; must be bottle conditioned. Nice lace. Initial impression is that there might be a flaw, or age. Very dry for a pale ale with a fairly good hop zing...especially for an APA. Quite ordinary.

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Poured into a pint glass.
3.5 A: Moderately hazed medium orange color. Three fingers of beige frothy head. Retention is good and moderate amounts of lacing are left.
3.0 S: Bready malts. Earthy and herbal hops with notes of cat piss.
2.0 T: Lots of yeasty breadiness. Not a lot of other flavor aside from a light neutral maltiness. Herbal hoppiness. Light bitterness. Nothing can get through the yeastiness and thus this needs to be cleaner. As it is, it sucks.
3.0 M: Medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Reasonably creamy, but also too chewy.
2.0 D: Not a fan of this. Iím finding out that pale ales need to be filtered for me to enjoy them.
