4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Jeez the kiwis do this style well - hop forward as I like it - not so much tropical fruits (although that’s there in the background) more herbal hoppiness but very satisfying - just needs a tad more body to really get the highest points from me - but I like it and will seek out again.

A lot of intrigue heading into this one... Aroma’s were familiar, bit more vegetable than galaxy maybe but otherwise kinda samey. Same for the flavours. Onion. Kinda too malty/sticky too. I expected a lot, not a bad beer by any means.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Clear amber with an inch of white head that quickly fades to a coat. Aroma of mandarin, gooseberries, lychees, caramel, a little pine, savoury spices. Oily, lowish carbonation. Sweet with caramel and biscuit, lots of tropical fruit, pine/ menthol/ mint. Moderate bitterness, remains sweet and fruity all the way - a bit drier and/or bitter at the end would have been welcome.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Wow nice beer again from epic. Great clear bright amber poor with minimal head and a pleasant carbonation. Aroma of pine resin. Taste is bitter but pleasant, the malt provides a backbone but does not intrude in any way. A balance but more leaning toward bitter hop goodness. Flavour is great resiny hopy pineness. This is a great beer after night shift when the mouth has been feeling a bit cotton wooly great stuff.
