Copper Cone Pale Ale is a special offering, aroma rich, pale ale that may vary the hops, malts and even sometime the yeast used. Typically this beer is an “over the top” Pale Ale with a deep copper color and loads of dry hopping going into each batch. The fresh hop aroma of this beer makes it a stand out. Stronger in alcohol and body than CAPT’N CROMPTON’S PALE ALE and appeals to beer aficionados.

Release #27 6.5%. Bottle. Pours hazy copper with a big, off-white head, tons of lacing, and plenty of carbonation in the glass. The aroma is very pungent .. astringency, pine, citrus notes.. a killer aroma for an APA. The taste is pretty bitter with a dry grapefruit sweetness on the finish. The palate is great.. easy drinking.. but you can taste it’s not cheaply made. This is one of the best APA’s i’ve tried.

Bottle. Head is initially average sized, frothy/creamy, off-white, mostly lasting. Body is medium amber. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain, caramel), moderately to heavily hoppy (resin), with light notes of alcohol and celery. Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/creamy texture, lively carbonation, moderately alcoholic, lightly to moderately astringent. Typical American treatment hops, yielding pretty much nothing but an aroma of raw resin. Slightly vegetal. Somewhat sour and abrasive in the mouth. The same as thousands of other American IPAs/PAs you’ve had before...the definition of "average".

Bottle, batch 42. Aroma has notes of caramel, citrus and grassy hops. Distinct pale ale but in a really good way. Medium to dark amber hue with a large off-white head that left good lace. Flavor is very sweet and bitter. Palate is full bodied and oily soft. Overall a wonderful beer. Great nose, looks, flavor and palate. Well done Epic!
