Copper Cone Pale Ale is a special offering, aroma rich, pale ale that may vary the hops, malts and even sometime the yeast used. Typically this beer is an “over the top” Pale Ale with a deep copper color and loads of dry hopping going into each batch. The fresh hop aroma of this beer makes it a stand out. Stronger in alcohol and body than CAPT’N CROMPTON’S PALE ALE and appeals to beer aficionados.

Release #27! Cloudy amber beer, good pale cream coloured head. Smooth palate, a little soft and airy with mild fine carbonation that provides a bite. Reasonable balance - mild toffee malt. A little orange marmalade but the dominant hop flavour is nettley pine. Finishes smooth with a little more citrus and subtle red berry fruits. Nice piney hop aftertaste. Good stuff!

On tap at the Yokohama Brewer’s Cup. It poured a slightly cloudy orange color with a tan head and had good lacing. A nice crisp pale ale with a piney bitterness but very smooth. Good stuff.

UPDATED: MAR 30, 2014 Lemony citrus aroma, with a little bit of earthy yeast. Orange, lemon candy-like hop flavor. Spicy, floral. Light caramel and sweet malt. Release #40; dry-hopped with EXP1210. Whoever nicknamed that varietal "lemon drop" was not far off.

Release #56, with Amarillo: Tart citrus, somewhat floral hop aroma, with just a little caramel malt. Lemon/grapefruit citrus, floral, spicy hop flavor. Tart fruitiness, with sweet, biscuity malt. Almost a lemon frosting or candy kind of flavor.

Release #59, with Simcoe: Spicy, pine, earthy, subtle citrus hop aroma and flavor. Light caramel malt aroma; Sweet/light caramel/bread malt flavor. Moderate bitterness.

22oz Bottle. The pour was a hazy medium to dark copper orange with an average (1-2 finger) off white creamy head that was mostly diminishing, down to a large puddle of residue and a medium collar which produced awesome sheets of sticky streaky lacing. The aroma was of a sweet toasted grain malt, pine and floral hops and a doughy yeast with notes of caramel, citrus (grapefruit peel) and a slight fruity ester (pineapple). The taste was bitter sweet and rather malty with a light caramel sweetness and a mild fruitiness early on, and then became a tad bitterer and very hoppy with a pronounced citrus peel bitter ending. The flavor lasted an average time after the swallow, with a sweetly bitter hoppy taste fading steadily off the taste buds. Mouthfeel was right between light and medium in body with a dry and slightly oily texture and a medium carbonation. Overall I found that I really enjoyed drinking this brew, the fruity caramel sweetness was offset nicely by the harsh citrus peel bitterness and the smooth hoppy profile. This all together created a smooth easy to drink Pale Ale. I think, I just may have another… www.facebook.com/KAJIIsBeerReviews

Bottle, bought @ Barleywine.
Pours murky orange (copper, perhas?) with a small, staying, creamy, off-white head. Nice hoppy aroma, peach, apricot, orange peel. Mild doughy and crisp malts. Medium carbonation, fine dry and quite creamy mouthfeel. Flavour has resin, caramel, pine, apricot, red apple. Lingering, quite bitter finish. A very well-balanced drink.

Hazy amber out of the bottle with a foamy khaki colored head. Nice fresh aroma of oranges and hop flowers. Fresh tangerine, orange juice and sweet grapefruit flavors over enough of a malt backbone to support it all. Sweet hop candy taste with long hop flower bitterness in the finish. Very nice hoppy beer.

Great ballsy Extra Pale. Lots of weedy hops, good balance from the toffee malt and a clean, drish finish. Pretty solid.

Deep amber color. Tons of pine a bit of crystal malt well balanced. So good and drinks much lighter than the abv. Very quaffable.
