COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Copper Cone Pale Ale is a special offering, aroma rich, pale ale that may vary the hops, malts and even sometime the yeast used. Typically this beer is an “over the top” Pale Ale with a deep copper color and loads of dry hopping going into each batch. The fresh hop aroma of this beer makes it a stand out. Stronger in alcohol and body than CAPT’N CROMPTON’S PALE ALE and appeals to beer aficionados.

Light brown. Clear. Super fluffy complex sticky white head. Smooth body but the end edge could be more pleasant.

Release 36, bottled on 10/31/12--Pours slightly cloudy amber with a foamy off-white head. Nose is a bit of nail polish, grassy/herbal/onion hops, and a dry, bready malt backbone. Taste starts off with the hops, herbal and grassy, then transitions into a big bready malt base. Finishes with herbal/garlic hops and big waves of breadiness. Pretty thick and creamy in the mouth. This is a fairly fresh bottle, but man I don’t get the appeal of it. Too sweet, too sharp, and too malty. Bleh.

Beerman6686 (4301) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 10, 2012
This poured a dark amber to red color with a beige head. Aroma was of light piney hops, caramel and toasted malt. Flavor was moderately bitter, some nuttyness and caramel notes, but not much hop flavor too. Meh.

Golden brown pour, medium carbonation, big aroma, caramel malts, floral hops, citrus hops, orange peel, quite sweet, nicely balanced and moderate bitter finish. This was release 30, I enjoyed this a lot

Release #35 bottle from the brewery. 6.3% alc/vol. This is a beautifully made APA. Big and bold, but also well balanced. Not overpowering at all. Very well done.

Bomber from Douglass88 - release 34, 6.7%. Hazy copperish amber with a nice creamy biege head that has great staying power. Lots of semi sweet malt and grains, bit of caramel, uninspiring. Moderate carbonation and mild body, little bit sweet at first then becomes more bitter, bit of resin on the finish.

from Erzbierschof - clear reddish-amber beer with a moderate foam left; fairly grassy aroma with notes of caramel in the background; a good malt backbone, a bit sticky and fairly tasty; some sweetness; a late well-present bitterness; light residual sweetness; long lasting bitter hoppy finish with more dominant grassy tones and hints of red fruits marmalade - very good

Marsiblursi (2999) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - NOV 5, 2012
(Bottle) Pours hazy copper red to brown with a creamy, sand coloured head. The aroma holds floral/orange-like hops and robust cookie-like malt up front with undertones of candy like fruitiness, grainy bread, back tea, fudgy/doughy caramel and dried herbs. The flavor is light to medium sweet , near medium bitter and robust/medium deep malt and floral/friendly hops. The mouthfeel is round, creamy and soft with a near medium carbonation. Orange, light resinous wood and deep toasted malt. Medium bodied.

Bomber bought @ Bierkompass.de. Pours hazy goldenish amber with a frothy brownish golden head that slowly dissipates while leaving lots of thick lacing on the glass. Smell is slightly sweet, fruity, malty and hoppy with sweet bread, pine, resinous wood, orange peal, grapefruit juice, marmalade, alcohol, caramel, pineapple, apricots and mango. Taste is sweet and bitter with sweet dark bread, grapefruit rinds, orange peal, freshly cut grass, pine, resinous wood, lemon peal, peaches, pineapple, marmalade, alcohol, caramel and fired apricots. Mouthfeel is soft, round and medium bodied. Finish is tiny sweet and bitter with bread, grapefruit juice, orange peal, grass, pine, lemon peal and hints of caramel. Not the pale ale I’d prefer but still pretty tasty.
