2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Head is initially average sized, frothy/creamy, off-white, mostly lasting.
Body is medium amber.
Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain, caramel), moderately to heavily hoppy (resin), with light notes of alcohol and celery.
Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter.
Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately bitter.
Medium body, watery/creamy texture, lively carbonation, moderately alcoholic, lightly to moderately astringent.
Typical American treatment hops, yielding pretty much nothing but an aroma of raw resin. Slightly vegetal. Somewhat sour and abrasive in the mouth. The same as thousands of other American IPAs/PAs you’ve had before...the definition of "average".

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
bottle-purchased at the brewery-Aug 2012-pours hazy copper hue with a small soapy eggshell head. nose is big carmel malts, pine hops, woody notes, lite green apples, err, wait alot of green apples. flavors exhibit the green apples and carmel malts with an undertone of piney hops. wow, this is very over-rated. I cant get past the green apple notes here!!! Its too bad-this is a very well made beer however, something went wrong on fermentation. That green apple is over the top!!!!!! ugh....so sad. If this didnt have that infection, it would have been very high 3 rating. I can tell it has a nice malt and hop combo, a more malty, almost ESB-ish type of APA here. infection gets the best of it though....

Very hazy (alright, murky), sparkling deep copper orange-red with 2-finger cream head and excellent lacing.
Aroma of pine, pineapple, grapefruit, bread, caramel and floral hops.
Taste of pine resin, citrus, floral hops, sweet bready malt and caramel.
Medium/full body and high carbonation that produces lots of foam as you drink.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber. Fresh hoppy nose, orange, peach, light lychee, a bit of caramel. Pretty orange-amber color wit a fine head. Very hoppy flavor—very bitter—lots of citrus, tartness coming from hops, orange and grapefruit. Nice hop showcase.

2.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours well, a copper body with a thin filmy tan white head that laces theglass. This smells like caramel coated plywood and a hint of peanut butter. Taste is not plywood, but is fucking bitter. Grass and resin. Finish is roasted sugar. The hop flavor leaves something burnt tasting on my tongue.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Pour House, pours a very hazy brown tinted orange color with 2 finger creamy off white head, medium lacing. Aromas are strong pine, grapefruit, biscuity malts, ultra hoppy aroma for a pale ale. Taste is just as hoppy as smell with pine, grapefruit, orange peel and tropical fruits all coming through. It finishes with a nice malt background. Medium on the bitter scale. Very nice pale ale that is more of an ipa.
