Bomber from douglas88. Thanks! Pours a deep reddish copper with a sticky and persistent offwhite head. Nose is resiny with some low roast and a molasses type note. On tasting, the bitterness is over the top and borderline harsh. The beer is too dry to support the level of bitterness. Resiny and some citrus but not much elegance. Brutal.

Bottle, 22oz. Release #27, 6.6% ABV. Lots of citrusy aromas escapes the bottle as I pop the cap. The head is of moderate size, light beige in color and with some lacings. Unclear, dark golden to copper colored beer. Citrusy, mostly orangey aroma with some room left for the malts. A light caramel flavor is more or less overpowered by orangey hops and bitterness. Medium to full body with some carbonation. A bit sweet on the palate maybe, with a pleasant bitterness kicking in towards the end. A tad on the sweet side I think, but it’s a nice beer anyway. 130430

Listed as the Lemon Drop Hop version. Sort of an orange-amber our with a dense off-white head. Strong lemon and grapefruit peel hop character. Floral, some biscuit, and a decent amount of caramel. Flavor starts off with a nice bright citrus character, but the sweetness of the malt comes to dominate. Floral, light bitterness, and some subtle pine.

17th August 2012 Release #27! Cloudy amber beer, good pale cream coloured head. Smooth palate, a little soft and airy with mild fine carbonation that provides a bite. Reasonable balance - mild toffee malt. A little orange marmalade but the dominant hop flavour is nettley pine. Finishes smooth with a little more citrus and subtle red berry fruits. Nice piney hop aftertaste. Good stuff!

Lemony citrus aroma, with a little bit of earthy yeast. Orange, lemon candy-like hop flavor. Spicy, floral. Light caramel and sweet malt. Release #40; dry-hopped with EXP1210. Whoever nicknamed that varietal "lemon drop" was not far off.
