3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 JasonG (776) - Salt Lake City, Utah, USA - DEC 8, 201122oz bottle from the brewery - had this a couple of times but haven’t gotten around to rating it. Pours a hazy copper color with medium sized light tan head. Aroma is bready and toasty, with light caramel and dry toast, a faint hint of orange peel. Flavor has a firm malty backbone, with medium caramel, toasty notes, and a bit of dry oak. Finish is balanced. This is alright but nothing amazing.

Bottled sample. Was much better than expected. Carmel flavor was a bonus. Loved the hops also. Will have this again

25 nov 2012, bottle. Rosy amber, clear, steady bubbles. Nose is bread crust and orange and grapefruit citrus hops. Med body and faintly fizzy. Has a dry bread malt background that is faint at first but comes out more in the finish. In the middle is the soft city's rind and perhaps peach hops. Nice.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 chinchill (586) - South Carolina, USA - NOV 19, 2012
22 oz bottle poured a slightly hazy hazy orange-amber color. Above average head and lacing. Sweet caramel malt is the dominant aroma and flavor.
Some ctirus hops too. Very good sweet/bitter balance. Exceptionally smooth and drinkable.
2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 pinkzambia (1294) - Boise, Idaho, USA - NOV 16, 2012
Bottle: Murky brown with a small tan head. Malty nuts, butter, and cornbread. Thin body with not much flavor. Needs more hops. Seemed like it was on its way to a Scottish ale. Watery aftertaste.
2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 maxwelldeux (2226) - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA - AUG 31, 2012
Pours an amber color with a really thick head. Some citrus and malty notes to the nose, which is an odd pairing. I find the taste to be a little dirty and sour. Meh.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 DavoleBomb (1389) - Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 31, 2012
Poured into a pint glass.
3.5 A: Moderately hazed orange amber color. Two fingers of frothy beige head. Retention is about average and a good amount of lacing is left.
3.5 S: Toasty with grainy malts. Moderate neutral malt sweetness. Simple, but pleasant.
3.5 T: Taste the same. Toasted malts is the focus with graininess and neutral sweetness next. Tasty.
3.5 M: Lighter medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Lightly creamy and insanely smooth.
3.5 D: Standard, but solid amber. Good enough all around.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 ekoerper (549) - Iowa, USA - MAR 6, 2012
Nose is full of caramel malts, biscuits, bread, slightly nutty, faint touch of hops. Pours a slightly hazy copper, one finger off-white head with good retention, leaves spotty lacing. Flavor is of course quite malt-forward, caramel and toffee, toasty and biscuity, pleasant hop bitterness to balance and some citrus hop flavor. Medium body and carbonation.
