RATINGS: 55   WEIGHTED AVG: 3.23/5   SEASONAL: Special   EST. CALORIES: 144   ABV: 4.8%
Our lightest in terms of alcohol comes in at 4.8% by volume so that malt can dominate the flavor profile. Caramel sweet malt all over the palate with a noticeable “jumping just over the barrier” citrus hop aroma. Surprisingly refreshing for such a malt driven ale. Truly and all season American Amber.

Amber pour, almost a white head. Very malt forward aroma, some dried fig notes, and a hint of hops. Flavor is mild but has a good blend of hops and malt.

Pretty standard amber that doesnt do too much to differentiate itself from other easy drinking ambers. That being said it is not bad.

Very malty, starts really well, but the taste falls off dramatically. The low alcohol content makes this feel very light.

Pint at the Denver Taproom. Orange to amber and lightly hazy in appearance with a lacy, light tan head. Malty aroma with notes of bread, toffee and caramel malt. Similar flavor, pretty clean, smooth, straightforward amber ale with a medium body. Solid.

Bomber from the brewery. Pours a solid shade of amber with a tall, rocky, bubbly off white head. The aroma is grassy and citrusy with notes of lozenges. Malts are nice, providing a biscuit and caramel balance. Palate is on the lighter side of the style, but the carbonation is nice and the sweeter flavors give an impression of a fuller mouthfeel. The flavor is well balanced with refreshing bitterness countered by hints at bread, caramel and a distinct nuttiness and toast. It’s not particularly exciting, though the hints at almonds in the finish are a welcome surprise. This is clean and sessionable though.

Quite a mild amber ale, mostly caramel and light citrus hops, clean finish. Easy drink but fairly boring.

An affordable amber ale with an eyecatching label, this was one of those beer that I had to buy just for the name alone. This excellent release has a unique American approach yet still remains accessible. If you are a fan of cycling at all grab a bottle for yourself.

Aroma / Appearance - The creamy caramel base is the color of melted Twix watered down so it does not stick to the glass. A gentle vanilla head adds pleasing depth. Melted caramel, chocolate, caramel, and fresh but rusty hops give it the earthy smell of a cyclocross course the day after a heavy rain and just prior to the first race.

Flavor / Palate - Chocolate and caramel release waves of refreshing lightness. A malt driven beer, it takes a few seconds to leave its payload in the throat. When it does a light earthy bitterness blossoms then fades like a morning dew. This goes into my recommended list for sharing with people who are making the transition to craft beer as an affordable alternative to mass produced swill.

Pours a clean copper color with a caramel malt aroma. Taste is of clean malt mixed with a slight citrus hops. A lasting minimal bitterness/IBU after the swallow. An easy drinking beer which lacks some complex flavors.

Malt dominates in this beer, dark amber/brown with beige creamy head. Aroma is caramel, sweet malt. Taste is similar, smooth and rich with nice silky mouthfeel. Nicely done.

Bottle from Utah Liquor Store. Pouts amber with a thin khaki head. Leaves some lacing in the glass. Not much on the nose. Creamy and malty on the tongue. Finishes clean. A stair stepper beer.
