COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Originally brewed as liquid bread by fasting monks this Doppelbock is rich and filling. Crisp and delicious for the winter months.

Clear dark brown pour with medium sized cream colored head. Aroma of malts, caramel, bread and yeast. Tasted of malts, slight toffee, bread, slightly nutty and a little cloying on the finish. Medium carbonation and full bodied.

Poured from a 22oz bottle into a Scotch Silly tulip glass. Pours amber brown with head and lace. Aroma of rich malts. Significant carbonation and mouthfeel. Flavors of roasty malts, caramel, molasses, straw hops. Overall rich, bold, sweet, flavorful.

Too many Wild Turkeys too really make much sense but I think my numbers are okay. The aroma is there. Taste is about the most balanced I’ve had. Palate is super clean and smooth. Underrated.

On tap at the Denver brewery. Amber, light brown and clear appearance with a fully dissipating head. Aroma of dark malts, bread, dark fruits, toasted grains, caramel, toffee and light earthy hops. Similar flavor, malty with moderate sweetness and light hop bitterness. Medium to full body with a rich and lingering finish.
