COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Epic Brewing Company’s latest barrel-aged beer brings something new—wild yeast. This brew is a collaboration ale with Crooked Stave Artisan Brewing of Fort Collins, Colorado. Chad Yakobson, Brewmaster/Owner of Crooked Stave, is well known for his skill and knowledge in the brewing of sour and Brettanomyces driven beers. The beer was brewed at Epic by the two brewers. Kevin Crompton, Epic’s Brewmaster, and Chad spent several weeks working on the recipe and selecting the proper Brett strains and barrels for the beer to morph from a golden Saison into a Saison-Brett Golden Ale.

Pours a orange gold color with a moderate white head. Head retention is ok. Sour, yeasty, slight citrus and very light spice aroma. Sour, yeasty, spice and almost bready taste. Awesome tasting Saison. Great at any time of the day.

Very sour brett aroma with autumn grass aroma. Very bubbly golden ale with lots of white lace. Tastes of light applejuice with balancing bitter hay, very very nice. Palate a little fizzier than average. Overall, great ale, very Jolly Pumpkin-ish.

2015-03-14. Hazy dark golden yellow body with a small white head. 3+ Aroma is mildly funky, fairly alcoholic, light fruit. Flavour is relatively mild, lightly funky and lightly sour, moderate bitter hops and alcohol that grows as you go. Lingering funky hops. Smooth bodied palate, moderate carbonation. Decent. Bit too mild overall but nice. Bottle, Release 4, shared by treehugger.

This is one fantastic beer. Popped it open, and a wonderful aroma filled the air. Golden pour, frothy head, bright effervescence. Definitely one to get again.

651 ml. bottle, shared with multiple others at brewclub. Pours a thin white head over a slightly hazy yellow (SRM 3) body......nose is barnyard, Brett, minimal hops, slight cereal, light floral notes balance to the Brett.....taste is lightly sour with barnyard, typical Brett notes, balance to the Brett.....mouth feel, medium body, alcohol warmth present. This is a well balanced beer with adequate Brett notes. BJCP 8/3/14/4/7

Big bottle purchased at Elevated in South Mpls. Consumed with commonshawn. Golden color with nice froth action. Aroma is vibrant...yeast, slight funk, sour/tart. Taste is fruity and sour. Alcohol presence is felt. Lingers well after consumption as expected of this style. Funky and tart like an apple from an orchard in the fall. Not really my style of beer but I can appreciate the effort.

Big bottle from elevated with commonmac. Light gold with small white head. Sour fruit aroma. Taste is sour and lingering but has some citrus spice hop near the middle and end. Stings the throat. Bits of bubble gum and pineapple. Not really what I expected. The sourness was a bit much for me.
