Clean, bright and fresh. This would be the perfect beer to give someone who has never had a sour but wants to try. Light and refreshing with a little funk at the end.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
22 ounce bottle, Release #2 (9.6% ABV, Brewed on December 12, 2011. Packaged on November 14, 2012). Served in a Unibroue tulip, the beer pours a slightly hazy gold color with about a half inch white head. Head retention and lacing are both decent enough. Aroma is very nice, the brew smells like apple juice, brett, green grapes, lemon peel, and some peach. Taste is similar to the aroma, the brew tastes like brett, green grapes/grape skins, white wine, green apples, bready malt/grain, pears, lemon peel and some light peppery spice. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, with a moderate amount of carbonation. I thought this was a good brew, Iíd like to pick up some more. $11.99 a bottle.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tart lemon and cheesy funk aroma, vegetal cabbage notes are also present. Hazy amber, thin head. Tart and vegetal, a little warm. Overripe lime, black pepper spice, cabbage. Finishes malty with coddled milk. Definite lactic component, but also vegetal. Not terribly well executed. Epic was on a good string of saisonís lately until I tried this one. Itís not a total loss, but the bar had already been set high.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Aroma is sour, bretty, pineapple. pours clear golden witha thin rough head. taste is aroma but with a bit of sweet malts, palate is thick the lack of carbonation here is really bringing this down as the flavors donít dance they sort of just "sit" overall the sour is nice and itís a good use of brett but the carbonation level really brings this down for me.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
The aroma was fantastic with notes of brett funk and barnyard plus belgian yeast peppery and fruity notes. The taste was pretty similar with a medium bitterness up front and only a touch of alcohol on the finish.
