Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of bluebetty. Vintage 2011. Pours an opaque black with a light brown head. Heavy coffee aroma, somewhat ashy. Medium body, quite a roasty character with distinct coffee note. I don’t really pick up the Filipino coconut though! Roasty bitter finish. Neat alright but no biggie. 250113

Thick dark brown with rich smoky coffee and sweet thick honey on the nose. Smooth, thick body with rich coffee, sweet chocolate and a long dry finish. A fantastic sipper but no sign of that coconut!

750mL bottle, pours a fairly thin black with a small beige head. Aroma of pure coffee, no hint of figs or oats on the nose. Flavour brings out strong coffee upfront, very dark roasted and high quality flavour, with subtle notes of figs, and oats. Absolutely dominated by the strong coffee, subverting any presence of figs and oats. Actually a fairly thin body for an impie, but certainly no weakness on flavours. Excellent coffee bomb.

Strong coffee flavour, but not in a bad way. Enjoyable, not too OTT, still tastes like stout.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Tmoney99 (8792) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JAN 15, 2013
Bottle. Poured a dark brown color with an average frothy brown head that mostly lasted with good to excellent lacing. Moderate to roasted sweet fruit, roasted malt and coffee aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy roasted coffee sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate to long duration. Smooth brew, my expectations where exceeded.
