Bottle. Nice dark pour with a quickly fading tan head. Big nose of coffee, sweet caramel malts. Really well balanced flavors of coffee, milk chocolate, and the coconut comes through in the finish. Really enjoyed this.

2016-01-28. Very dark brown black body modest tan head. 3+ Aroma is quite dry, moderate coffee roast. Muted green pepper touches. Light fig, maybe? Flavour is dry, earthy roast, notes of cocoa and dark fruit. Average bodied palate, good carbonation. 3+ Decent but not to my tastes. 6/3/6-7/3/14 Bottle shared by HogTownHarry.

750 ml bottle from Hawthorne Cellars. Pours black with medium tan head. Right out of the fridge it was all coffee. Definitely needed to let this one warm up a bit. After about 20 minutes on the counter it became a smooth, velvety oatmeal stout with the coffee and a nice sweetness. Definitely recommend. Make sure to let it warm a bit. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from LCBO (Niagara Falls). 2015. Pours dark brown with small light tan head, scattered, uneven, leaving little lace. Thereís loads of coffee in the aroma, but very little of anything else, even as itís warmed quite a bit. Tastes pretty damn sweet with molasses and dark roast coffee. Not exactly getting the figs here. Thereís a hint of aniseed in the finish, curiously. The mouthfeel is a bit grainy, the body mediumish (as in not heavy or viscous), carbonation pleasantly thin. Not as fancy as the description lead me to believe. It is pretty good though, I love how itís not a +10% booze bomb coated in massive sweetness, the 8% is

The beer pours a blackish brown colour with a thick foamy chocolate brown head. The aroma is roasted malt, coffee, figs, and smoked wood. The mouthfeel is full bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is roasted malt, smoked wood, dark chocolate, and coffee. The fruits arenít very noticeable in the flavour. A very good beer.

If we are talking the 2014 version this was amazing. Went through 4 bottles of it over the last few weeks. Strong coffee and sweet fruit flavors. Tastes exactly how a good coffee infused beer should.

[Bottle (750ml) shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow, jercraigs & mabel -- c/o HTH] 2015 vintage. Pours a very dark brown, almost black, with an average size lasting frothy light-brown head. Aroma of coffee first followed by hints of dark fruit and cocoa -- but it almost smells like cold coffee. Flavour of lots of coffee followed by dark malt, dark fruit and cocoa. Medium bodied. Pretty good, not great.

I get raisin and roast coffee with some bitter chocolate on the nose. More of all that on the tongue - especially the coffee - with lots of sweet malts.Been a while since I ate a fig but this didnít taste like any fig newton I remember. Smooth and rich and really good.

Pours a deep copper-brown colour with ruby highlights. The head is bubbly-foamy, mocha-coloured with good retention and beautiful creamy-foamy lacing. Earthy aromas with some bitter chocolate, roasted malts and some coffee. Flavours of chocolate and roasted malts. Mild grassy hops and coffee in the finish. Hard to feel the fig as if any dark fruits, pretty light. The rest is pretty earthy for a beer, but goes down nicely. Maybe they are sandy figs.
