COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Epic Brewing has been making high-strength beers in the land of low-strength (Utah). Rather than expand their operations there, they chose to open a 2nd brewery in a more encouraging state, Colorado. This is their first batch of beer brewed here in Denver. Big, fruity hop aromas.

It is getting to be so damn fantastic finding all these canned brews around Boise... big floral and piney notes in the nose, carried out into the taste. Light citrus and moderately sweet. Really nice malt presence is minimal, but sturdy. Nice.

Sampled at GABF 2014. Pours a hazy amber with huge white head. Aroma is light hop (probably restricted due to the 2 oz pour). Mouthfeel is light and soft with notes of standard hop & malt profile. Light citrus. Nothing special, but nicely balanced.

An IPA on the lighter side without going session. Very fruity, citrusy, overall light bodied and not very bitter. Goes down easy.

Pour is a hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is a nice citrus fruity hop. Flavor is an equally nice citrus hop with a low malt presence and not much of a aftertaste past the initial hop. Kinda one dimensional that it’s all hops up front but not much after that. Still this will satisfy your hop crave.

Can. Pours a clear gold with a high, pillowy, cream-colored, mashed-potato head. Nose is lime, apricot, geranium, rosemary, and lavender -- very nice. Sweet and citrusy on the front of the palate, then hops bitterness kicking in on the mid-palate; smooth, round mouthfeel, and a very nice balance between malt and hops. Finish is long, soft, and clean. Really very enjoyable.

Can - Hazy golden pour with a big foamy white head. Nose is fruity, grassy, lightly spicy hops with a dry malt base and a bit of doughy yeast. Taste is the same, with some garlic and onion coming through in the hops. Tropical fruitiness and bitter grassiness on the finish, and a dry, crackery malt base throughout. Soft and mellow carbonation fluffs things up. Solid stuff.

9/27/2014. 12 oz. can. Amber with a white head. Malt, caramel and hoppy aromas. Caramel leads teh way followed by hops and fruit. Finishes off with bitter hops. Not bad at all.

Hazy golden. White foamy head. Resinous piny hop aroma. Firm bite. Medium lite body despite no lack of flavor. Would be a session with that body but unfortunately 6.2% ruins that.

Serving: Draft at the Leesburg Beer Company. It pours a slightly hazy, light gold. The nose is hop forward with light florals, slight fruity notes, orange, and a little malt. Flavor follows suit with the hops laying down a bit. Light to medium body. Decent.

Can at the Bayou. Pours slightly orange with an inch of white foam that quickly disappears. Nice floral notes on the nose. Kind of tropic on the tongue. Finishes clean. Just a real drinkable IPA.
