Not quite fall, but just purchased, i can pretend. Pour: nice copper brown, off white copper head. Nose: caramel malts, very malty sweet with a light spicy hop aroma at the end. Taste: to agree with smell sweet light caramel malts, with a light spice hop profile. not a ground breaker, but has a subtle calm taste.

On draught at BeerMongers. Caramel color. Aroma is biscuit, caramel, and plum. Taste is intense caramel, biscuit, grass, and plum. Quite sweet, with a touch of pleasing bitterness. Great märzen.

Bomber from Pace High. Orange brown pour. Aroma of toasty malt, herbal, sweet caramel, smoke. Tastes are sweet, stale bready, toffee, honey, malty. Syrupy. Yeah, not my style - so tough to place it.

A very good lager, smooth, biscuity, and slightly sweet. Orangish brown appearance, thick head and a rich mouthfeel.

Clear copper like a new penny, under a thin tight foamy head. Nose is sweet and biscuity with some toast and caramel, with that chewy marzen grain tone...smells like the best marzen ever. Tasty flavor of sweet toasted bicuit, lots of caramel, light malts, sweetness, light bitterness, and a little sweet nuttiness. Best Marzen ever, while still coloring within the lines.

From a 22 Oz bottle shared at Ryan’s. Pours a clear with a thick off white head. Bready nose. Flavors of caramel with some butterscotch notes. Smooth finish.

Appropriately colored for "a fall celebration" - copper/red that looks like fall. Somewhat sweet, lightly carbonated and minimal hop flavor and aroma.

Bottle from Total wine sterling. Pours brown with a khaki head. Doesn’t leave much lacing. A little bit of malt on the nose. Caramel on the tongue. Finishes clean. Eh! It’s an octoberfest.

Tap. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with exceiient lacing. Moderate toasted malt and floral aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium toasted sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met.

Draft to taster. Looks good for the style; a transparent light copper with foamy off-white head. Smells and tastes sweet, malty, and doughy with a solid mouthfeel. A solid example of the style.

DATE TASTED: November 27, 2013... GLASSWARE: Schneider Weisen Edel-weisse pokal... OCCASION: Cavs/Heat Thanksgiving eve treat... APPEARANCE: thick, off-white three-finger head; excellent, almost decorative lacing; smoldering effervescence; cloudy, dense autumnal amber body... AROMA: caramel, toffee and generous pale malts; secondary pine hops balance the experience... PALATE: medium to full-bodied--teeth-chattering; surprisingly active early and late...TASTE: redundant to the aroma, caramel and toffee dominate the flavor; a zesty lemon hop spice intercedes for balance; a nuttiness reminiscent of a brown ale seeps in...complex and befitting of a waning Autumn night--a bit alcoholic late...OVERALL: the second beer I’ve had from Epic provides a similar experience to the first--rich, complex, almost challenging to evaluate or categorize, as the bottle suggests--a Marzen, yes, but much fuller of body and substantial of flavor...
