2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
bomber. pours light straw whito head. nose is adjuncty sweet blab. mouth is light. not satisfying, even for a gluten free beer which is a travesty in of which itself, adding potato as substitute for part of the grain bill is a no bueno. overall if you are one who believes you have celiacs stick to the sorghum brews.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Clear brilliant gold, no head, with a big aroma of sweet potato, earthy dirty blonde malts and a touch of molasses. The flavor is smooth and mellow and complex, starting with some corn and yams, melding into an earthy brown rice flavor with a touch of sugar, and lightly herbal hops, and is that a playful note of lemon zest? This isn’t just "good for a GF beer", its good all on its own. Well played!

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Gold pour with not much in the nose or flavor. Thin bodied, with mild hops and starchiness in the flavor, but doesn’t taste good.

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
Tap at Strange. This beer is empty. There is no flavor to it at all. It is alcoholic, golden-colored, water.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Clear, light golden brown pour, with a pretty nice floral hop aroma. Flavor does not live up to the aroma, as it has a thin, slightly astringent, and not at all interesting taste. I won’t come back to this.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle from taproom. Pours golden with no head. Not much on the nose. Kind of sweet on the tongue. Finishes clean. Not band but not much of an identity.

3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bomber shared with kristen. Pours a clear bright gold with extremely faint ring of clearish head. From the wonderful aromatic citrusy hop profile, you would never guess this is gluten free. It smells just like a regular old american pale ale - and a damn fine one to boot! But the flavor isn’t quite as good. Not that it’s bad. It’s still much better than most all of it’s gluten free brethren, but the sweetness of the molasses and cloying nature make it a little unpleasant. But if I couldn’t drink regular beer, I’d totally be into this! Really good job for what it is.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bomber from Appalachian Vintner, Asheville. Pours a hazy pale orange color with a large fizzy white head. Fair head retention. Aroma of earthy, grainy notes with lots of citrus hops. The taste is faint, pale malts, nuts, honey, very strong citrus hops with a bit of a tropical note. Medium bodied, fizzy carbonation, off balance.

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle. Hazy gold with a short, bubbly white head. Aroma is surprisingly hoppy and floral with a candy-ish note. Taste is sweet with caramel notes, soft molasses, rice notes and flowery soap notes. Body is light-medium and kind of thin at times with a soft, bubbly carbonation. Ends with more candy-ish notes, rice, potatoes and soft hops. These gluten-free beers just really aren’t worth it. Feel sorry for beer drinkers with Celiacs.
