Sampled at an esbls tasting. Sent by Hayduke. Golden and hazy with a small white head. The aroma has lemongrass and grain. This s a standard pale lager that has an extra dose of hops. It has light bitterness but more sourness.

22oz bottle. Release #4, 4.7% ABV labeled. Really pale, slightly hazy yellow color, nice thin foamy sticky white head, leaving good lace. Nice, fresh citrusy aroma. Good mix of tangy sweet and bitter. This is really good, for proclaiming itself as a "LAGER". I think this is more of a pale ale... and a good one, too. Really, a good session ale.

22oz bomber pours clear somewhat bubbly pale gold with near white head. The aroma offers up thin layers of spicy hops and faint sweet maltiness. The taste has some crisp fresh spicy hops mixing with some floral hops and a modest level of lagery sweet malts (or is it malt sweetened lageriness?). Pretty nice easy drinking crisp brew.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 hayduke (2963) - Eureka, California, USA - DEC 31, 2011
Drinking this on New Years Eve afternoon. This may be a summer beer, but is refreshing anytime. Pours a hazy yellow gold with a huge head that just would not quite. Big white chunks of lacing left behind. The nose is grassy and floral hops. Medium in body. Very smooth and lively mouthfeel. The flavor is caramel malts and lots of hops, showing fruit and flowers. As you move into the finish gets dry and delightfully bitter. Very good lager beer.

draft at Belmont Station. effervescent clear gold with a small white head. hop aromatics are bright, pungent, sharp, lightly vegetal, lightly spicy and peppery, a touch of lemon, lightly fruity and earthy, and highly acidic and sharp, pretty much what you’d expect from a combination of Crystal and Calypso, based on their descriptions. medium-light body, too watery to be top class but overall easy to drink, quaffable acid levels, clean and delicious.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 changeup45 (1575) - Mount Dora, Florida, USA - DEC 23, 2011
Release #3, 4.6% abv. I got this from Secret Santa (mattyb83). Pours a hazy yellow-gold color with a thick fluffy white head. Clumps of lacing stick to the sides of the glass after nearly each sip. Bready and herbal aroma with also crackers and grassy notes. This is clean and light going down with herbal hops, bready pils malt, mild sweet corn, as well as grass. It gets fairly dry from the hops on top of a slick sweet malt body. Sometimes simple is a good thing and this is a great refreshing beer you can just kick back to; especially in the warm weather, and it’s been pretty warm here lately.
