This wonderful hoppy lager is a new addition to our ever-expanding Exponential (Seasonal) Series. The Crystal hops give it a clean spice while the Calypso hops give it a pleasant, almost fruity aroma. Easy to drink, perfect for a summer day out.

Golden honey pour with massive ivory pillow sitting on top. Candied citrus, breadlines, unnamed dough, caramel, and freshly cut grass. Orange peel, grapefruit, and lemon zest as well. Nothing aggressive but all of the flavors are there. Nicely done, interesting lager.

Bottled. Poured light-honey and cloudy. 2 finger frothy head. Nose definitely had some lemony zest, citrusy, and light; reminded me of a nice smelling Pils (Mama yella). initial taste had some spice on it, but also light and crisp. you can taste the sweetness but ends with some bitterness. Overall a refreshing brew

Bottle; poured like a lager; dull gold color with a big frothy, white head. Aroma was a bit more vibrant than most of the style. Alot of citrus, some fruit, bread, lemon and a bit of sweetness. Flavor had more flavor than normal, but was expecting more. Some sweetness, lemon, citrus and bread. Long, lingering flavor with some bitterness. Good for the style, but just ok overall.

Release #7. Pours a cloudy pale golden yellow color with a two finger, frothy white head that slowly fades into a lasting ring. Really good retention with chunks of soapy lacing left behind. Floral aroma with spicy, earthy hops, pale malt and light fruit notes. Grassy with some straw and pine followed by hints of apple, pear, alcohol, bread and biscuit. The nose reminds me of a lightly hopped pilsner. Medium bodied with a crisp, spicy hop bite up front that provides some dry bitterness which lingers over the sweeter notes into a dry finish. Earthy and slightly resinous with some grassy pine flavor followed by some light fruit and pilsner malt. Hints of hay, biscuit and grainy cracker give this beer a nice pale malt backbone that counters the other flavors. Not overly complex but well balanced, flavorful and easy to drink.

29 sept 2012, bottle. Pale yellow, clear, some steady bubbles. Nose is skunky, and slightly sweet. Thin body and mildly fizzy. Reminds me of smarties candy. Light lemon rind and lager malt.

Bottle. Pours a yellow color with a small white head. I get a little floral-citrusy nose on this. Easy taste, crisp. There’s a little bite to it, and it’s very bubbly on the palate. One of the better lagers, in my opinion.

Bomber, release #7. Poured clear, bright golden with a sticky white head. The aroma picked up lemon rind, cloves, and light white pepper over soft toasted grains and a pinch of honey.. not super complex, but very well presented. The flavor opened with a nice lemon and floral hop bite, with bready malts and a bit of honey supporting.. fresh hoppage around and through the crisp, refreshing finish.. tasty stuff. Lighter-bodied with moderate-plus carbonation to keep it moving through the palate.. very nice spice and bitterness from the hops.. I could drink a whole lot of this.

8/5/12 notes: Bottle. Beautiful clean straw gold body, fluffy white head with good retention. Aroma is a tasteful yet pungent array of grassy and floral notes. Mouthfeel is clean, light, dry to the finish. Flavor ups the typical pilsner array of noble hops and bready malts with clear expressions of cut grass, light pith, and pressed garden flowers, finishing with refreshing bitterness. Bit of fruity esters probably from fermentation are the only (minor) issue I could identify; a superb summer drink.
