3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
If you see hop in the name and expect something extreme you will be disappointed. That being said however, if you are expecting an easy drinking lager with American style hop overtones, you'll like this one. Easy on the palate, with a very light and refreshing flavor.

355ml can. Pils Lager 4.5%. Very pale golden pour, lots of bubbles, flavor and aroma are mild hops and 2 row malt, not complex or outstanding for a pilsener by any means, but it isn’t bad and is pleasant.

This pours a hazy, yellow color with a slight white head. The aroma is full of wheat, citrus and other floral hints. The taste is very smooth easy drinking. While it is light and simple, this is the type of beer that will get your macro drinkers into craft. Very clean and light finish.

Slight haze, yellow, some head. Aroma of citrus/pine hops. Taste is hop bitterness (floral/grassy) with dry grains. Very Pilsner-esque - a northwest pilsner? Probably waited a month or two too long to drink this - would be brighter fresher.

From a can this stuff makes a big head. Its pale lager in color, perhaps a little hazy. Has the smell of typical pale ale, would think it is ale fer sure. Has that typical mild APA thing happening, funny they would make this a lager, heheh. Finish reminds me of REM pop song 89 video; a topless lager acting like an APA, WTF?

On draft. Aroma of orange, in an intensity that’s slightly surprising in a lager. Flavor is of a burst of citrus, quickly dissolving to a very dry finish. Beautifully done.

Outstanding "Bud beater"!!! Twice the hop and grain aroma and taste of Bud. Only 4.8% ABV per the label. Put it in 16 oz. cans...and take on Bud!

Growler fill from Aw Shucks. Pours a lightly hazy yellow orange, decent head. Aroma was honey accented malts, slight pepper hops, and a lot of undefined citric hops. Flavor was a dead on match. I must be getting old, because the entire time I drank this I was mentally shaking my walking stick at the brewery and castigating them for the citric hops in my lager. What is happening to me, this was something I always wanted brewers to mess around with? Get off my lawn! Either way, my palate could never totally accept the fusion of citric hops and lager characteristics. The sum was less than the parts. More disappointed with myself than the beer for some reason.
