Deep orange colour with a creamy white head that does nothing to quell the aroma. Lychee, pine resin, grapefruit, moss, everything, the nose is overwhelmed with aromatics. A smidgen of sweetness and then bam! The main event, bitter, bitter, bitter. Interesting palate, medium body and carbonation, resinous, almost gummy the way it coats the mouth. Very long finish!

On tap at Brewski 050314. This one is a bit of a palate wrecker as it coats the tongue with big hop resins.

elbernays (499) - Dublin, IRELAND - MAY 30, 2014
UPDATED: MAY 31, 2014 500ml bottle from drinkstore. Pours cloudy orange with white head. Aroma is so strong. I cannot imagine what this stuff smells like when it comes out of a vat. Grass, lemon, herbs- basil, citrus, some flowers. Powerful. Flavour is fisherman?s friend. There is mint floral astringent bitterness. Malts are fighting but only hints behind the hop power. Unbalanced but in an interesting way. Low carbonation. Enjoyable but not sure Iím too enthusiastic about overly hopped beers.

500 ml bottle. Pours an orange and clear with an inch off off-white head. The aroma offers dank hops, citrus, resin. It smells slightly oxidized. Flavor is hop forward and citrusy. Small amount of alcohol heat in the finish. Iíd love to try this fresh.

500mL bottle. Pours a hazy golden straw with a creamy white cap that lingers decently. Aroma of tropical fruit, citrus and rind, pine, caramel. Taste is citrus sweet and bitter. Medium carbonation, sticky and creamy mouthfeel. Good balance.

This Goldielocks hopped beer is íjust rightí in terms of bitterness (not under or over bitter). It pours well, is golden in colour, and smell like the real deal. Itís an amazing find.

Bottle 50 cl @ kultainen apina. Pours clear orange, white head. Fruity hops, some pine, caramel. Pine hops, tropical fruits, caramel in the flavor. Less sweet than expected, which is nice.

Bottle from Systembolaget. BBE 20/08/14. Clear deep golden beer with a small white head. Aroma has exotic fruits and alcohol. Flavour is sweet, malts, peach hops, alcohol. Not so very bitter. Iíve beginning to notice that Iím not a big fan of these heavily sweet, peachy and a bit alcoholic DIPAís.
