3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bättre än armageddon IPA. Frukt, humlebomb, maltig med smak av alkoholen. Mmm brains!

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
500 ml bottle. The Black Door, Helsinki, Finland.
Clear amber golden colour with a tiny off-white head.
The aroma is strong... Very sweet caramel, fruits, grapes, mild sourness and mild bitterness. Quite fascinating aroma. The flavour is a bit more harsh but still interesting. Moderate bitterness. Caramel sweetness, alcohol, resiny and mildly grapefruity hops. Not bad.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
500ml bottle @ Hilpeä Hauki, Helsinki
Pours dark orange with a white head. Nice aroma of exotic fruity hoppiness, raw hop cones, grass, citrus and crisp maltiness. Taste is slick, hoppy and exotic fruits and caramely maltiness. Finish is slick, fruity and zesty with some hoppiness and maltiness. Alcohol is quite well hidden, but could’ve used perhaps a bit more bitterness to make this even better for my taste. Still a very good DIPA, though.

50 cl bottle @ Hilpeä Hauki, BBE 17.09.2014
Aroma is very fruity with fresh hops, caramel and resiny malt. Flavour has caramel, some gluey tones, fruity hops and pineapples. Aroma was better than flavour (which isn?t bad either.) Gets some licorice aromas with sediment added.

(Bottle, 0.5 l - BB 170914, at Hilpeä Hauki, 20140326) The beer poured deep golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness, mango, creamy toffee, pine and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, creamy toffee, sweetness, citricness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy, sweet and bitter. A very well done double IPA: balanced with pleasant hoppiness and strong body.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Clear brilliant golden under a thin white bubbly cap. Lots of earthy pine resins and grapefruit rind on the nose. Flavor is very leafy and earthy bitter with a sweet lemon and orange rind tone and a nice peppery finish. Complex earthy fresh hop peppery flavor with a clean blonde malty finish. Really nice.

4.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
An essential double IPA, in my mind it is the best out there. Very strong citrus/floral aromas and strong hoppy notes on the tongue. Very clean aftertaste in comparison to other beers of this alcohol volume. Brilliant.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Clear deep gold body, small white foam.
Restrained nose; passionfruit & citrus hop. Plenty of toasty, light caramel malt.
Rich on the palate, moderate carbonation, somewhat thick & chewy, oily sensation lingers.
Hits home harder on the body - plenty of golden syrup & pale malt sweetness to pave way for big hop flavours of guava, pepper, ripe rockmelon, passionfruit. Strong bitterness to finish.
The abv of this is somewhat an afterthought! Serious stuff - a great showcase of Kiwi hops!
