500ml bottle (BB 10/9/16). A clear light golden beer beneath a large and dense off-white head that laces nicely. Aroma is packed full of fresh green hops (mandarin, kiwifruit, grapefruit, pine needles) plus faint background malts. It tastes similar with a clean sharp dry resinous bitterness that lingers. Palate is clean, balanced, moreish, and medium-bodied with a slick oily mouthfeel. A fine example of a fragrant balanced DIPA that goes down easily.

Thrown away in a vortex of bitterness. Unbalanced and explosive without focus on harmony. Cool if you search for hoppy powers.

Bottle from Rehills, Newcastle. Pale golden coloured with a thin white head. It has a delicate floral and warming, bitter orange marmalade and citrus fruity flavour followed by a smooth, spicy pine and fruity finish. Excellent!

Backlog rating. Keg at Mother Kelly’s, London. It pours a rich golden color with medium off-white head. Aroma is sweet and fruity, with notes of persimmon, caramel, dried apricots, citrus peel. Taste has more sweet, caramel, mango, tropical fruits, light booze. Medium to full bodied, creamy texture, good carbonation. Overall, nice

From Growler (TRU BRU - Melbourne’s growler station). Seems very fresh. Better than I remember this in bottle last year. Incredibly tasty DIPA that I recommend to any one.

Bottle from Cotteridge, Birmingham, Friday 19th June 2015 consumed at home Sunday 21st June (Summer Solstice) Warm gold in colour with a filmy white head, slight haze otherwise pretty good clarity. A tropical edge to the nose, also tropical tasting with a little pineapple and mango in the mouth, not overly tropical mind, a jolly good beer but easily bettered in my opinion. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.4
