Perfect foamy head on top of carbonated foggy gold.Aroma has a few layers, being hops and some detergent sourness, barn funk, not all sweetness which is unique, though the aroma remains rather subdued. I find the hops profile to be not as enticing as it could be, a little muddled, not sharp enough. Of course I’ll still drink this bottle, it’s damned good, but still a few miles from Epic as they say down in the ’hood.

From a bottle. So silky smooth, no hint of the alcohol content, super dangerously drinkable. Love it.

Bottle best before Dec ’16. Pours a clear golden-amber with a small white head, no lacing. The aroma is a punch of pine, grapefruit and citrus, but it settles to a complex blend of floral, citrus, and malt. The flavour is way less bitter and dank than I remember, my palate must’ve adjusted since a few years back, but there’s a definite pine up front, plenty of malt biscuit sweetness, hints of orange. The body is way lighter than expected but the flavour remains full, making this dangerously easy to drink at 8.5%. It feels creamy over the palate, smooth malt presence, gentle carbonation. It was gone way too fast, you could lose yourself in a beer so tasty and easy to down.

I had this once in Canada and didn’t love it, but decided to give it another go In New Zealand. Made the difference. Beautiful nose with grapefruit and citrus as well as florals. Malt and vanilla in the taste and a subtle lovely hop finish. Not very carbonated

Draft at Ei8ht Ball, served in a flight. Pours a barely cloudy gold with a small eggshell white head. Damp and sweaty, with caramel, sugars, pine, grass, florals, and citrus fruits. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a sweet, slightly bitter mouthfeel. A little oxidized. This really seems like an old keg. I’m giving it a little benefit of the doubt. I need to find this fresh; the irony is I’ve avoided it on shelves here because I wasn’t sure of age.

Bottle@home, from Wine Spot, Cleveland, USA. Strong, sweet and bold, still bit simple aroma of fruits like mango and apple. Golden color with light white head and clear liquid. Strong balanced taste of slightly overaged mango and other fruits. Lots of hops, still sweet. Bit simple e.g. no malt flavors. Narrow/medium taste spectrum and long hoppy, fruity aftertaste. Medium body with light/medium carbonation. Overall, high quality product that despite of being sweet, has its own character to keep it different than American cousins. Simple taste though.
