3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 mcberko (4044) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 13, 2013
500mL bottle, pours a pale golden with a small white head. Nose has loads of piney hops, a bit of resin and a bit of floral hop notes, with a light cracker malt backing. Flavour brings out fairly bitter piney hops, a bit of passionfruit, some citrus and orange, and a light cracker malt backing. Very pleasant flavours, but not the most dynamic or complex array of them. Highly drinkable and quite enjoyable. Good one.

500 ml from Shenanigans. Nice crisp taste and floral aroma. Bitterness in taste and aroma. Well balanced. Very tasty - especially since it has travelled so far.
3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 NBird (137) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - DEC 24, 2012
Transparent filtered golden amber in colour, no sediment. Smells include floral hops and hops and hops. The zombie is easy to drink, smooth but has little texture, almost too refined. a good dose of hops is what you can expect to taste. Very nice clean beer
4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20 ACD (335) - Dublin, IRELAND - DEC 22, 2012
50cl bottle from Redmond’s of Ranelagh. Pours light, slightly hazy gold with thin, quickly dissipating clean-white head and not too much lacing, Aroma is passionfruit, mango, lychee, light grapefruit, floral notes, tangerine - a heady hop cocktail that is just incredible to witness. One of the best smelling beers I’ve ever had, no joke. Good lord I love that NZ hop character. Taste brings more of the tropical/citrus NZ hop punch with a touch of biscuit and an even lighter touch of caramel. The hops have free reign here and they make such an incredible impression on the palate, so much depth to the tropical character. Mouthfeel is medium. Finish is gloriously dry/medium dry - no sickly caramalt finish here. Residual bitterness is significant, but such is the absolute beauty of those sweet NZ hops, you really don’t notice it. This is damned close to perfection in my eyes, thankful that I managed to get this in such fresh condition.
3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 johninmelb (1003) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - NOV 28, 2012
Spicy, sprucey nose with a strong lychee presence. Pours gold with not much head. Flavour is sharp and dry with solid bittersweet notes and a long, moreish finish. Where stablemate Armageddon is arguably too hoppy (can such a thing be?) this one gets the balance just right. Very good.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Rangi (378) - NEW ZEALAND - NOV 28, 2012
Really nice drink. Very well balanced in the hops vs malt ratio, slightly bitter sweet which was enjoyable. Aroma is great and carries through to the flavour. Plenty of oranges and other fruits, probably grapefruit from memory. Nice beer.
4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 BeerGeekconz (22) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - NOV 17, 2012
Great hop aroma with a slight caramel malty background keeping it in check. white head disappeared quickly, very light for the style but suits the intention of the beer, taste is hops and a touch of caramel malt to balance, similar to a bigger version of the Pale Ale. Great on the palette, medium-light body with long dry, bitter finish that never quits. Overall a really good beer, well brewed and full of flavour, only complaint I could have is that it is a bit one dimensional, that one dimension is far better than seven dimensions in a lot of other beers though. Very good.
4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 herchick (15) - Akron, Ohio, USA - OCT 30, 2012
On tap at The Malthouse in Wellington New Zealand. Amazing beer that is very representative of a California West Coast style DIPA. This on reminds me of Russian River Pliney the Elder or Three Floyd’s Dreadnaught. Very low malt character to accentuate the hop forward flavors. Very grassy and soapy in a great way. Very nicely done. A must have beer!

Bottle from mane liquor. Pours a light golden body with a disappearing head. Lively carbonation. Aromas of citrus, caramel notes, blood orange and hops. Taste is sweet sugars mixed with citrus fruits and floral hops. Alcohol disguised well. No bitterness leaving the palate dry free. Very easy to drink Love it.
